I have joined the cult....2013 G37x
Just put a down payment on a used 2013 G37x, 29,255 miles, gray. Pretty stoked!
I bought it from an Infinity dealership, and about 6 mos left on warranty. Went over the car, all looked pretty good, but will go over with fine toothed comb after they do their "3 hour prep", which I find hard to believe especially as he waive it for me, and before I sign financing papers. That said, is there anything in particular I should look for? I did a lot of online research and couldn't find any real issues that seemed to be chronic. But figured you folks would know. Auto Chek is very clean, checked VIN no recalls, body is in good shape. Little wear inside but nothing that hit me hard.
Have to tell you, I narrowed it down to the TL, Lexus and this one, felt Lexus wasn't worth the money, and REALLY wanted to love the TL-SH, but when it came down to it for me it is about the driving and cockpit feel, and this one did it for me. Felt more natural to me than the TL. My first "luxury car".
Anyway, I ramble. Any suggestions to check for, let me know!
Thanks

Pics and way to go!
Dont know about the X but I do know I studied the coupe s and the engines are all the same on these things and they are rock solid along with everything else. The older ones pre 2010 I think had 1 problem with the timing chain gasket but your 2013 like mine so your good...start thinking about the exhaust and buy that fugger...
Lexus and Acura suck....

The only thing that is even remotely prevalent with the X model is the wheel bearing go quicker but that's common on literally every AWD system, no mater what manufacturer is making is. These cars are unbelievably reliable and since you have a 2013 almost any previous issue was weeded out through the years of production and updates. Get yourself some lower Sways to unleash the handiling potential and enjoy the ride. Congrats.

I had the exact same problem with the TL. I was dead set on the TL-SH with a 6sp and found a great one for a very reasonable price. drove almost 2 hours one way to drive it and was beyond disappointed. the cockpit sucked with 500 buttons everywhere and it was very slow for a claimed 300hp. maybe the AWD lost too much power I don't know. but that left just the G37s for a luxury sedan with a true manual and I couldn't be happier. Congrats on your purchase!

I truly loved that car!!! If Mazda had offered it in AWD, I would never have gotten rid of her. The other reason was that my wife couldn't drive manual, had no desire to learn, and our vehicle situation at the time was complicated. Now, I can get pretty much whatever I can afford without worrying about the possibility that she may need to drive it.
