Experience with Dealer.. Need incite

Lively,,, i'm new to the Gforum and i must say i'm hoping to contribute in the near future in any way i can.. For now, i want to share an experience and maybe shine a light on what may have happened to my '13 g37x.

Bought the car with 18k miles until it turned 30 and decided i would pamper the facker a lil and drop it by the dealer in the next town. They looked at it. The rep was a veteran and so am i so we got along quite well needless to say. They inspected the car and found that it needed nothing more than new tires and a wash (seeing as how i had changed all oils: motor, trans, diffs, center myself) but they kept it for about 2 and a half hours on tire install and wash...

Getting to the point... When i road out, i notice a umm significant performance boost i guess you can say. Shifts seemed a lil more aggressive. Something i dont remember doing before I started thinking.. Is it possible that the vetheren hooked me up with an update or tune or something? There was no mention of this. My brake rotors looked rust free when i remember there used to be some rust. The car felt like a new car guys.

Sorry. Let's just say i've been through more dangerous "legal" scenarios unfortunately.

Any answers?

No he means the dealer has an update to our transmission, there are currently 3 I believe and it's helps with shifting. I got mine done all you have to do is ask your dealer but if you had it in most likely they checked it wouldn't hurt to ask tho, they checked mine without even telling them on a check up

Meh. No performance boost just drive ratios. Feels solid through the band.

Welcome to the site, and thanks for your service
Sounds like a transmission update, although I thought by 2013 all updates had already been done, maybe yours was an early build date.

At any rate, glad you're happy with it and glad you found us!

May have been a simple ECU reset which will make the car drive a little different/better for a while.

Give the kid a break or brake, Betty, after all he did say he wanted "incite" so maybe he was hoping to incite a riot with his original post?

Welcome to the forum and thanks for your service! It's good to finally read a thread about a positive experience review at a dealership If you wouldn't mind can you please ask the dealership what it is they did and let us know! I'm actually tempted to get whatever it was done to my car now lol

Glad you have a sense of humor, welcome to the forum and man it would have been nice if the dealer would have installed the uprev tune for you
