I forgot to take a pic. I cleaned out some oil and gunk from the pcv system. I just smoothed out any mold flashing and sharp edges in the runners using a pencil grinder.
Wrapped up a Oil and filter change and clutch fluid drain and fill, along with EVAP,TXV, and compressor job.
With it hitting upper 90s here, wasn't a great time for this to go but it's been on its last legs for a bit. Got a AC compressor kit off Rockauto and an evaporator. Fairly easy and straightforward install. Cannot get to the drier/accumulator without pulling the radiator so reused OEM. Blowing nice and cold now!
Getting to the evap core took about 30min really easy, take lots of pics of how the actuators mount and hook up.
The TXV hardware is notorious for being seized so that's why I got a new evap. I was able to remove all the bolts but the head cap screws were all rust and needed to be replaced. Couldn't find 35mm locally so had to buy 40mm long bolts and cut em down.
Evaporator core hardware 2x m5x0.80-35mm long (35in-lb) for TXV to core and M6x1-16mm (39in-lb) for lines to core.

Today I swapped out my original steering wheel for this wheel wrapped in two-tone leather from Redline Goods. The darker perforated leather on the sides is an exact match for the leather in my shift boot, parking brake boot, and center console lid.
This wheel was a selfless gift from @hexotic . All I had to do was drive up to Canada to pick it up, jk jk, I was up there visiting friends, and swung by hexotic's for the wheel. And I'm very, very appreciative. It looks fantastic.
Posting inspired by Rochester lol. Darkened bits of my grey over the years, contrast feels good. Was thinking of doing a black airbag cover, but it works as is.
Did you check your cruise control switch to see if it still works? The new wheel is for an automatic with smart cruise. (2 buttons lower right rather than 1)

Oh I didnt even notice that John didnt swap the panel lol. Should still work, same connector. Im just curious if it moved to the distance button from the on off/button
I was wondering, since those typically use a resistance ladder to cut down on the number of wires going through the clockspring, if they were different than the single-button version. :shrug:

It is the same with the NAV/ non-NAV version - the resistance values are the same. If the specific module is there- and can read the value- then that operation applies.
If not, like on my Q60 wheel, the G can't read the two "menu" buttons and, therefore, the buttons do nothing (not that it matters, the heated part makes all the difference) 😁
Being Rochester has the standard ASCD, I'm sure the ICC button will do nothing.

You know, I don't really know. I'll have to check it out. But I do know the left side buttons work. Also, I never use cruise control on the G. Never. Not even to swap tune maps. So if it doesn't work, I'll probably do nothing to fix it.
I didn't notice the ACC control until after the swap was done. My head was so into the swap itself, I had blinders on.
