It just is a mental discombobulation to see the pretty carbon engine cover and the holey OEM air boxes.

Edited to add: I get not wanting to pay $450 for a CAI - there are used ones for less on this forum. Mine included, but there's others from time to time LOL.

They got rid of the air box "silencers" I believe after 2010, they just have caps on them now.
I owned a Saturn SL back in the day and this was everyone's first mod. The factory air box was restrictive, so why not poke a big hole in it, and besides, the extra noise generated was cool. I then quickly graduated to a bright shiny Injen chrome intake that looked BA, only to get a quick lesson in heat soak.

The G37 has an excellent factory cool-air intake, especially if you reseal the airbox to radiator support interface and also run K&Ns with silicon intake tubes (silicon is much better than rubber at heat dissipation).

Ghetto Air Box... I haven't seen that phrase in a while. But that picture heavy quote is 8 years old.

Tried out stuff called Solution Finish to restore the lower grill mesh (it’s been pretty faded for a while now). Think this stuff would be considered a dye? Turned out pretty nice, we’ll see how it lasts

Also a right of passage (didn’t lose the emblem though, I must’ve caught it right when it broke free):

The engine is the same as the G 3.7 L stallion. Pictures coming soon. The color is black obsidian exterior with black interior. One owner, full maintenance history record, and no accidents.
I installed today a dual catch can system from ADD W3 catch cans that are designed for M37 or Q70 3.7l engines and I really like the quality and overall build of it. They are also available for g37. Here is the final result. Next going to be AEM cold air intake as is the only intake designed for Q70.

That's awesome, the Q70 is really nice, I believe the rear doors will auto close when you don't close them all the way.

People complain about the infotainment, which is legitimate, but honestly everything else seems like it is really nice. Plus you get a fully updated VQ engine without any of the earlier production issues.

Thanks! You right rear doors and also trunk have an auto close function and I care less for the infotainment besides my Bluetooth connection. Engine is much better than on my previous 2010 G37x sedan.
