Replaced my Continental DSW06 (245/40 all around) with Michelin pilot sport AS (225/45 F, 245/40 R). So far, grip-wise they feel about the same. Suppose most all seasons are on par with each other, so just went with the Michelins off of a Black Friday deal. But I will say the staggered sizes do look better. The 245 width on the front wheels looked a little puffy, but the 225s look just right. Going 245 all around was pretty pointless, since I didn’t have to rotate the tires for the ~30,000 miles I put on them.

Also finally found a nice self-service car wash in a nearby suburb, so gave the car a much needed rinse

Finally got around to putting the mishimoto oil catch cans in, and the gtr start button. Easy additionally 100 horsepower from these 2 additions.

^sport coupe 19s and 3.7 fender badges, we’re part of a tribe

Car looks stellar, I’m sure mostly due to your ability to stow it away for the winter (very jealous)

Z1 25mm Spacer and Nismo Open Ended Lugs

Finally had enough time to go ahead and put on the 25mm bolt on spacers from Z1, and the nismo open ended lugs. Finally got the flush fitment I was looking for with my car. Thankfully didn't have to roll the fenders just enough space for wheel travel with being on swift springs. The nismo open ended lugs give a nice touch to the wheel.

Excuse the dirty wheels

For the first time in 8 years, had to mount a front plate which still looks weird. Used the trick to fasten it to the lower mesh, so hopefully once I find off street parking I can take it back off. Also put the OEM grille back on for the winter (normally have a mesh-style one, which took a beating last winter), and it grew back on me quick.

Did DC start requiring front tags? That sucks. Welcome to the club, we are all unhappy here.

You attached it to the lower grille instead of to the bumper?

And you're street parking your G? That would stress me out so bad.

It's always required, I'm guessing he just got away with it by not street parking.

^yep exactly, used to live in a place with off street parking, so kept out-of-state plates to avoid getting bothered for no front plate.

Yep, basically just fed some bolts thru the front-side of the mesh, then fastened them with some washers and wing nuts on the back-side of the mesh. Looks a little janky, but at least it’s reversible.

Street parking is an unfortunate reality for some neighborhoods, but luckily my block is mostly filled with residents (not popular with out of towners) so folks tend to be pretty respectful of each other’s cars. But still, it’s exposed to the elements, including knucklehead and/or careless drivers. So far so good, will see how it goes…

Sure did, but found myself in the scenario that I’d get a ticket each day without a front plate. So had to run to the hardware store to concoct a quick fix. Still might go the tow hook route at some point, I think most of the ones I’ve seen online seem to stick out kinda far

Btw hope all’s well up in your neck of the woods

This is the one I used - it's got a lot of adjustability to it. Very close clearance to my bumper; you will 100% want to replace the washers they provide for a thicker washer and lock washer.

Amazon Amazon

All good - Thanks! Bummed the Mustang is in hibernation ; 3ish months to go...Hope you're doing well!
