The Pilot Sport A/S 3 would have been to harsh for my liking, and purportedly these new Pluses are a lot closer to the A/S 3's performance than the older non-Pluses. I'm not sure if I'll ever go back to touring tires.
Great tire. My brother swapped the run flats on his Q50 for these and it's a night and day difference.

Today I went full send and dropped my car off to Switchback Racing in Deland, FL for their top mount single turbo kit. I've had the car 5 years now. Hoping it will go another 5!

Stay tuned for a full write-up and review on the entire process

Highly recommend this spray wax. Easy to apply and does a decent job.

Just painted the grill, trunk lip and wheels yesterday. Went with Rustoleum's charcoal metallic color, also used their primer and clearcoat.
I was on a bit of a time crunch so it all could have used another couple coats of clear, but I want to go darker in the future anyway so I'll just wait for it to start wearing off to do that. For now though, I'm just happy that the majority of the chrome is now gone lol
I feel the chrome that's still on the car accents it well without being too much. Before there was just too much chrome and I felt like it looked like a mom car. Now it looks nice and sleek, in my humble opinion.

So I designed a better cupholder insert for my car. The stock one always bugged me with how useless it is. I sized it to perfectly fit a starbucks cup too, which is the most important thing. And I even added a little storage slot at the back for papers / parking pass / etc.
Printing it now, i'll post a pic in the car later.

Lol perfectly understandable to want to change the cupholder.

Today I did some light soldering projects. Before upper, before lower, and after replacement.

Pulled the rotary encoder from a junkyard stereo/hvac panel and replaced the volume **** on mine. Tried just swapping the boards but there's enough difference between 2012 non-nav and 2013 nav that none of the buttons worked that way, including the nav panel above. So the hard way it was. Sucker was not easy to get out without damaging the board. For the old one I ended up cutting the contacts and pulling the pin stubs out rather than trying to wiggle the whole thing free at once - was scared of scratching a trace or damaging a surface mount component by applying leverage.

Works now.

^ Yeah I learned that too, the CD slot is moved from nav/non-nav and the PCB is spaced differently.

In the 2010+ cars, I don't think it is. I'm using the 2012 non-nav front panel (plastic face panel) with the 2013 electronics and button mechanics. The 2012 is that reddish fake wood plastic, which is super smooth and should hold vinyl better, and the 2013 is actual brushed metal wrapped around a plastic core.

Yesterday I cleaned the car and engine bay for Cars and Coffee today. I also found out the shop I bought tires from sold me DWS06 instead of ExtremeContact Sport in the rear. Not what I asked for!
