What did you do to your Sedan today?

Yes it does. I can try and get some more detailed pictures later if you’d like. I ended up having to use a heat gun, a plastic putty knife, and some patience to tuck the edges and get them to stick. Just don’t pull and stretch it too much because then stuff won’t line up in the end. There’s tons of YouTube tutorials that show you how to do it. You just have to take your time because only get one piece of vinyl per piece of trim so if you really mess one up you’re kinda SOL.

That’s the one I ordered. I choose satin metallic black for that OEM look, but there’s a bunch of other colors too.

Let us know what you think of it once it comes in and you install it. For the price, if it's good, you'll be saving a lot of people a lot of money.

Finally ran out of little things I can accomplish not being under the car, so started investigating the Q50 mirror conversion. I'm about 90% there, think I'll make an adapter plate that the (much shortened) bolt bosses in the Q mirror bolt to, that then bolts up to the G37 door. I don't really want to redrill the G37 door, especially since the Q attachment bolts are really far offset from the Gs. Taking pics, but work in progress so nothing yet - it'll hit my build thread when I'm done.
MEANWHILE, since I had the passenger door card off, thought I'd wrap the trim with that carbon flake vinyl since that one looks to be the easiest shape.

The basic problem is that the Q mirror base has an 'island' that fits into a recess in the door mirror mounting area that is a lot taller than the G mirror base. Trim that island down, and it fits.. but you lose the upper mounting bolt, since it's through flat thin plastic not a stanchion. I had a broken G37 mirror from a wrecked car too, so I explored using the G37 mirror base with the Q actual mirror - no go. I looked at pulling the hinge out of both and swapping so that the bases WOULD swap, and not worth the effort with the G37 mirror - you'd have to destroy the housing to get it out. So that leaves adapting the Q mirror base to the G mounting area, and I think that's eminently doable. Original idea was to redrill the door metal to fit the studs on the Q base, but I think now an interface plate might be better.
I don't have pics, but I did trim the 'island' down, but I lost the upper screw mount point. Modified the G rubber gasket to fit. It fits on the door fine now - there's a teeny difference in how it fits around the outer bottom window trim, but you wouldn't notice if I didn't point it out. Pretty sure the connector pins are similar enough to swap into the G connector for electronics, but if not... I can deal in other ways.
This was an experiment with a cheap Q50 mirror off ebay (the color cap was fubar) and a cheaper G37 mirror from a salvage yard. Mine OEM mirror is safely in a box in the garage, if I give up or decide I don't actually like the effect.

Gave mine a nice bath. Nothing more relaxing to me than detailing the car on a beautiful day. 12 year old paint still looking great.

Wrapped and hyperdipping
Re-wrapped the trunk chrome since the last attempt had tons of wrinkles and then hyper dipped the emblems.

Looks like it came out well g37natl!
I'm not too big on the blacked out letters / emblems myself.. because it's starting to enter that territory of "racecar" when we are still driving a luxury sedan in the end. Although I do prefer black vinyl trim on the windows usually..
