What did you do to your Sedan today?

Car came with only one remote, so I bought a new remote and key for 30 bucks off Ebay over the weekend. Received it today and had it programmed/cut by a locksmith for 58 bucks. Not sure how much a dealer would charge, but I'd imagine it wouldn't be anywhere close to that. For giggles, I might even do a third one, just in case...

Yup. Don't know what the hourly rate is, but I'd imagine it's at least $100 at the dealer.
BTW, just went out and tried the new remote, but got no response from the car. WTH??? The guy at the locksmith said that the programming is done without warranty and I already thought there goes the 58 bucks. Then inserted the key to the slot in the dash and all systems were a go. Still no response when trying lock/unlock the car, though, so figured it must be the battery and sure enough, after putting a new one in, we're good to go again.

Finding out what you like and didn't know you needed... that doesn't sound like a problem. Sounds like a goal.

Changed the broken passenger side fog light lens. What a PITA unless your hands are the size of a 2-year old. But got it done and didn’t even break anything. I think...
My daughter also came home for Christmas, so had to take a group pic. She was pretty happy to hear she can have the black one. LOL!

Haha! I know, right...? Granted, she did drive 05 C-class through college and first 1.5 years of medical school. Being five hours away now at med school, I got the G35 last year for something potentially more worry-free. Now that I got a really good deal on the G37, I thought what the hell. Might as well offer her an upgrade as a Christmas present. Told her this is it ans she needs to return the favor one day when she’s making the big bucks and M.D., surgeon maybe. LOL!

Helped my brother do his driveline fluids today and took the car for a very spirited drive on the back-rounds around my home; a lot of hair pin and sweeping turns. I have to say, I was pretty impressed despite going into it with tempered expectations and wanting to dislike the handling and steering feel. A good set of tires + sway bar upgrade and the Q50 would make for a great DD replacement. It's not going to set any record breaking lap times but, for what I believe most of us would be using it for, it would make for a great GT car.

Installed my Z1 intakes over the weekend. My only really gripe? Z1 (given the price) should have instructions that are more detailed and are for the g37 rather than just shipping 370z instructions. Half of the ones provided were irrelevant. And the bumper removal was definitely different. Overall, I'm glad I did it but I also learned I am not a mechanic nor do I want to be.

Posted the 07 G35 on Craigslist around noon today and sold it around 5pm to the first one to come take a look at it for about $600 over what I had in it after owning it for a little over a year. Guess sub-5K G35 is a popular item and I should’ve asked more since my phone was blowing up all day long. LOL!
