Those seats are beautiful. Love the plaid. Going to look amazing with the carpet back in.

Good photos.

That stuff was very brittle all over, actually. Was able,to pick up a replacement from local dealer (Grubbs in Grapevine, TX) for 85 bucks, so not a biggie.

Easy swap and the car is good to go again.

Wonder what happened to that reservoir that caused it to become so brittle... My coupe had over 250k miles on it and it didn't look like that or become that brittle. Very interesting. New one is beautiful!

Did the car sit with the hood open for a long while? that's some serious UV damage...

You sure did change the look of this car. The black and red just didn't do any justice to how it looks now. Yes it might be boring when comparing to other members however unique when rolling around.
Great call on the carpet removal, it was one of those "Hmm, not too sure about this" however the red is what brings it out. The type of look you could only pull with solid colors.

I also saw running these in the rear on stock springs should bring you down 1/2":

Well that sucks, guess I got fooled into buying these because the guy said they will work on G's. Real nice!

After thorough research, I did find one post that seems to solve this question about the nismo rear springs. It give about a 1.25" drop, which is more than I'm comfortable with. Hmm, what to do now......?

You could drop it with Swifts then raise it back up again with coil spring spacers.

I was looking at this solution for $17..

https://www.myg37.com/forums/brakes-...ml#post4003553

I was hoping to keep this inexpensive, that's why I went with used nismo springs. If I get the swifts, then that's more money plus I'll have to buy LCAs too right?

The earlier Nismo springs are stiffer - from my research should be about .5 - .75 drop only.

I bought a set too, so we'll see. Might have to do different front and rear springs.

The example I quoted is from 2011 so he was using the earlier nismo red springs.

Wondered that myself, too. And the thing is that it was just that corner. Everywhere else it was just discolored but not brittle. Go figure.

LOL! Maybe so since the hood shocks were tired, too. Guess these things either eat them a lot or then I’ve just bought the two out in the market that needed them since I had to replace them also on the 07. Just replaced them yesterday.

From my research the Nismo fronts will be perfect but the rear will be too low. Options are:
- Run stock springs in the back and shave the rear isolators by 1/2" or buy ES isolator that is shorter than the stock isolator by 1/2"
- $17 solution from above to kick the height back up 1/2"

I found something really cool that would have a lot of applications, not just for nismo springs. Its a company that sells different urethane spring rubbers in varying strengths so you can fine tune your spring rate and ride height. They're pricey though.

Here's a link to the product and also an article about them.

Car came with only one remote, so I bought a new remote and key for 30 bucks off Ebay over the weekend. Received it today and had it programmed/cut by a locksmith for 58 bucks. Not sure how much a dealer would charge, but I'd imagine it wouldn't be anywhere close to that. For giggles, I might even do a third one, just in case...
