Ordered and awaiting shipment for:
- CMAK
- ISR ypipe - Redline Trans 4qt - Redline Diff 2qt - OEM trans & diff drain plug washer
- Pilot Bushing
At home waiting:
- MPSS tires
- 19" coupe wheels (need to refinish them in gunmetal gloss)
- Hotchkis Sways (would like to refinish these too)
- detailing supplies including ceramic coating
Contemplating on:
- Custom midpipe with vibrant 18" resonator
Can’t wait to pair this Motordyne resonated XYZ pipe (fits AWD) and this Tanabe Medallion mid-pipe (made for the coupe, but I’ll have the exhaust shop cut the flanges at the end to fit the sedan) to my Z1 HFCs and my Tanabe Medallion mufflers next week!
That's good looking hardware. Almost looks steampunk there on your hardwood floors and oriental carpet.
I love pictures like this.
Unresonated Z1 high-flow cats, one 8" resonator after the Y, and two 18" resonators out the back, matched to a Tannabe Medallion axelback. I think you'll like that sound. I'd expect a sharp but deep noise, tamped down by those mufflers. Should be interesting.

Thanks! I actually wasn’t planning on ever doing a full exhaust set up. I told myself I’d only do HFCs and axle-back.
2 years and a broken FI RHFC/rotted out Y pipe later, here I am. I actually have plans to eventually sell the car in the next 6-12 months, but I figured if I have to replace parts then I might as well do it right/enjoy it while I can.
l’m also intrigued as to what it’ll sound like. At the bare minimum, it should sound better than the exhaust leaks I’ve been dealing with! I’ll try to post a video next week when it’s all done.
^That's a cool idea, should sound great. The Tanabe midpipe is a little too expensive for me to chop up and make fit for the sedan so I think custom is the direction I may go.

That’s a good point that I weighed out in my head for weeks. The price difference after buying two 18” Vibrant resonators ($160) then having the custom piping made (~$200) wasn’t too far off the Tanabe mid-pipe ($390) + whatever it’ll cost to do that small amount of cutting/welding.
I just couldn’t get this one YouTube video out of my head that Tanabe posted 10 years ago of their mid-pipe on a sedan paired with their axle-back. The sound was intoxicating. They never put the mid-pipe into production, I guess.

My Ex - Y Pipe looks great with that tanabe midpipe. Hope you Enjoy as much as I did!!!

Had to cancel the ISR ypipe as it is back ordered. All of my parts should be here by Saturday so I need to make up my mind if I want to risk it and order the z1 ypipe first thing in the morning to have it by Tuesday next week. I'll sleep on it.

How did your FI RHFC break? Cracked at the welds? I'm asking because I just installed FI RHFC a few weeks ago and would like them to last as long as possible.

That worried me too. Baseless? IDK. But I did this anyway:
3 months ago I put the berk resonated test pipes and a catback manzo exhaust, it’s a cheap mod slight rasp but sound awesome when you gun it plus I also have k&n intakes
