Ahhh I see it's called the journey bumper, I always thought it was the sport bumper. Either way I'm happy to have it ready for paint lol.


Or maybe I have it backwards? Hmmmmm lol

Been gone for a little while. I see y'all have been doing well! I added a front license plate. I was going to post a pic, cameras these days catch all kinds of dirt. Pics soon let me give her a wash first!

That's the 07-09 Sedan Sport bumper. The non-Sport bumper had different proportions for the lower section, with a smaller center vent. I actually think the non-Sport bumper looked better, but meh. The design winner is the 2010-2013 Sedan Sport bumper, IMO. Particularly with the matching front lip.

I'm used to the naming the 2010+ S bumper the SPORTs.
I see you have a 07-09 G which means that bumper is the "sports style" of that year

Ahhhhh I see, I prefer the 2010 front end but it's on my long list of things I want.

Looks like the Sport bumper to me... Exactly the same as my OEM Sport front bumper before I converted to the 2010+ Sport front bumper.

You got a ticket, didn't you?

For the other players, Texas is one of those states that requires both front and rear plates.

LOL! Not yet. Havent had one of those since about 2006 or so, never got a ticket only a warning. Used to get warnings on a near monthly basis in my old 240sx. Hasn't happened in my G35 or the 911, hopefully the same will continue with the G37.

Wisconsin also requires a front plate but I've gotten away with none for 4 years now.

Front plate required here in MD also, not running one on my G or S2000, no issues yet.



I added 2 USB ports to the center console, drilled a tiny hole to route some cables and also 3D printed a little tray for the center console as well. Link if anyone has a printer and wants their own: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4216428

Would you mind sharing the type of primer, paint, and clear you’ll be using? I recently did a paint job in my booth for the M’s front end. Would really recommend you to get some blending reducer if you are using a spray gun set up like I did. Unfortunately for me commiefornia does not sell oil-based paint, so I was left with water-based.

Got her cleaned up for y'all. Didn't have time for a photoshoot. Maybe next weekend. She sure looks good. I'm really loving the front plate. . 3 easy looks mods so far. I think the last one I might do is a duckbill before I start looking at suspension and power. Anyhow pic!

I'm using some paint mixed in aerosol cans at the local body shop and 2k clear. Bumper has rustoleum self etching primer on it right now. I really should have used a different primer but it was what I had on hand I was to lazy to head to the hardware store.

Great job on the 3D printed tray. Looks much deeper than the OEM tray.

yeah I made it like 40mm deep. It goes all the way down to that little ledge thing on the sides
