Nice. What brake rotors/pads do you have? In the market for new ones, probably don't have the funds to do Akebano conversion.
was just scrolling and saw this, not sure if i answered or not. But i went with the z1 slotted & drilled rotors with stop tech pads from the z1 site as well.
New mats finally arrived. Drivers mat wasn't supposed to have that logo on the rubber heel mat, but oh well. Now that the light grey mats are out, my steering wheel no longer matches. I do have a spare, so may be doing another custom wheel lol. It never ends.
I finished my android auto install today. So basically it goes from the Raspberry pi > HDMI / RCA Converter > into the car's input. Set the car on aux in, and then I put a clear digitizer overtop of the display to allow for touch to work.
Stock display:
Clear digitizer before install:
Controller for the touch screen mounted underneath the panel:
Final product:
Works great imo.
Only downsides:
- The stock display is pretty low res, but its usable.
- There is a weird distortion in the center of the screen, but it goes away when you change the volume?? Very strange.
For V2 I want to replace that screen completely, but still have a way to switch inputs from the car to the pi so i can still have backup cam, climate, settings etc and also have a higher res display for the pi.
Yes for now, my springs are 62mm diameter. Swift makes 60mm and 65mm, I'm not sure which i needed so I'm trying the 65mm, if they work. I'll get a second pair and if too big I'll try 60mm
Well it started today after being shipped to me with no additional charge and it was about 40 degrees out. I won't be using it much when cold. I still have Swift Springs laying around PWN_IPL.
