However, I was able to find some more recent pics from when I installed my Carbon Signal front lip. I used the same type of hardware that the OEM lip uses, so the install is very similar (just different hole location). I used M6 faring hardware just like the OEM lip uses and purchased it from ebay. When you make the holes in the front bumper you just need to make sure to make an oval hole and offset the hole so the flat edge lines up with the outside edge of the hole in the OEM lip. That way the threaded portion of the fairing clip will be centered with the hole in the front lip. I know it sounds a bit confusing, so hopefully the below pics will help.
I would avoid using the fender push clips, as they might pop out if you ever bump the lip on a curb or parking block... But, you could also use nutserts (AKA: rivnuts) and they should be plenty strong enough, especially when you combine it with the double sided 3M tape around the top edge of the lip. I even use nutserts to hold the aftermarket metal fenders on my Jeep. However, most nutserts need to be crushed to stay in place and it can be a little tricky to get them right... Crush it too little and it will be loose and twist and crush them too much and you can deform the threads. I've also had nutserts come loose after installing them, which can make it very difficult to get the bolt out if you ever need to remove the part, since the nutsert will just spin when you turn the bolt. I used the fairing hardware for the front lip, since that's what Infiniti uses for the OEM lip and also for most of the bolts on the plastic undercarriage cover.
Got enough of a kitchen pass to change the oil - only 1500 miles late. Only got 4ish quarts out of the motor after 6500 miles - Mobile 1 0W40 euro car. AFAICT, it isn't burning smell-able amounts of oil or leaking anywhere, and there's no oil in the coolant. Did all that oil end up in my intake?

I've been having this issue as well. I want to say it started when I switched to Mobil 1 0w40, but it also happened with Catrol Edge 0w40, and still when I switched back to 5w30 in Mobil 1 and Castrol Edge.
I've run Mobil 1 0w40 euro on 3 VQ. My current with over 100k. No burning at all. I'd pull a intake tube and check the throttle bodies. Also pull pcv valve and check there.

One quart in 6500 miles isn't much. You'd have to be burning oil at a much faster rate to detect it in the exhaust. My guess is acceptable amounts of blow-by forcing oil mist through the PCV system (and into your intake).
