I was surprised because yeah, this is a fairly common issue. I'm going to try that fix in a week or two. Hopefully that's all there is to it.

Thanks so much for posting these pictures, Hashim. That's not much to remove at all. In fact I think one of those fins is already missing on mine since I bought it from Z1 Motorsports heavily discounted since it was already damaged. So I already cut the lower portion of the last fin off before polishing so you can't really tell it was ever there. Did the Bell brace come already powder coated red? Just curious since I may want to have it redone in candy red to match the rest of my undercarriage parts.

Adrian... if you buy it from Z1, then you get it in Z1's particular dark silver. Which is nice, but not what you're looking for. So instead, reach out directly to Arthur Bell and ask for one unpainted.

Yeah what Roch said! Mine came pre-painted in Red...IIRC correctly it cost more to get it unpainted for some reason and now they only have Red and gold as options but I'm sure Arthur will do it unpainted if you reach out to him directly, he responded to me on here through DMs and on facebook pretty promptly

Great idea! Thanks for the suggestion, John. I'll contact Bell Race Works directly and see what they can offer. Unpainted would definitely save me a few $ when I go to get it powder coated. Or even if it comes painted, rather than powder coated, then it will be easier to strip. You can remove traditional paint by bead-blasting, but powder coating either needs to be burned off or chemically stripped, which can get quite expensive.

It seems like a quick fix, I'm hoping to have a few minutes to try it this weekend...I was looking at pricing out the Senders/pump....its seems silly but its almost the same price to get the sender as a whole pump/sender for the passenger side and the drivers side sender is a similar price as well.
Thanks for sharing - saved to my YouTube playlist for the G

Good luck!

I have an aluminum composite splitter someone made me on my car now, how do you like the quality of their side splitters? I feel like they’re easier to deal with if they brake than full skirts I’d like to get a set. Also how do they install? I didn’t my front splitter with lag bolts and self tapping screws

Tried out some trim ideas in blue carbon fiber wrap. Thoughts?

Getting the trunk lip done today. Came as a black “carbon fiber” finish so I tried wrapping it with satin white pearl vinyl. Looks good from the photo, but in person it wasn’t quite right.

Got it back off the car and tried hitting it with light coats of white satin paint and clear.

(Pic is before attempting paint)

Probably posted before that I installed my black ebay grille and used Z1 after-maf tubes, but here's a pic... Not quite all-black yet.

Also started priming the Coupe 19s for paint.

The bearing/tire noise issue is a zombie and won’t die. Went to lunch today and hit 70 for the first time in a while and the noise and vibration is much worse at that speed. Going to take it back again on Wed. Wish me luck.
