Yeah I could see that...my sister was a chiropractor in Dallas for years ....her clinic would be ringing off the hook the day after it was icy or snowed b/c of all the accidents from unprepared drivers...I was under the impressio nit only lasted a few hours and a lot f people just waited it out lol

And now I regret asking. Carry on.

Quad tips on that Acura are kind of interesting.
Yeah we dont get a whole lot of snow, but it does ice up every year. Some years worse than others.

And the 2007-2008 TL Type-S actually came with a factory quad exhaust system.

I'm concerned about how close these are to the calipers. Ordered 3mm spacers to be on the safe side.

I do that exact same thing... run a 3mm spacer plate behind my front wheels because of what looks like a 1mm gap from the calipers. It freaked me out, and the thin little spacers made all the difference for peace of mind.

That sounds like a plan. I searched online and could not find a weight.

20x9 comes in at 28.4lbs
20x10 comes in at 29.2lbs

Dropped the Q40 at the tint shop today.
Interesting conversation with the owner.
I was going to get ceramic, it was not all that much more cost.
Asked the owner for his advice. He was quiet initially.
Eventually he told me, for the northeast, unless I am in my car driving for extended periods of time, it really makes no difference. Even then, it is marginal. It is not like the AC wont be needed or there will be any gas savings.
Additionally, if you have a car sitting in a parking lot, while the ceramic may allow for a slower heating up rate, they will both 140F inside after sitting for a while.
Waste of money in his opinion but would certainly install it if it is what I wanted.
I was surprised he down sold me.
He did tell me he does not often provide his opinion like that as it is not great for business, but we got to talking and...well.
He says LLumar premium dyed provides 99% UV protection in all the shades, including clear and that's really the most beneficial characteristic.
So I went with 35% all around and clear UV on the windshield. All tint is illegal here in Rhode Island, although it seems to be tolerated. We shall see.
Ill post a pic when I pick her up.

Sent it to the shop, pot hole claimed the left ball joint. Too busy at work to do it myself and too close to ZdayZ to wait around.

Looks nice. I wonder what is the deal with the northeast not allowing tint

Here in Texas all windows besides the front can be as dark as you can get. The front two have to be 25

Officer safety. They want to be able to see if you're reaching as they approach the vehicle. I have 20% all around and roll down all the windows during any type of stop to avoid a repair ticket. Also, keep the sun roof visor open to allow more natural light into the car. Seems to help.

I have ceramic tint and compared to the standard tint, it actually looks a bit lighter if you compare them. 20% looks more like 30% at certain angles on my car; where the standard stuff looks really dark at the same percentage and angles.

I actually talked to as many of my neighborhood cops as I could to get their take on applying illegal tint.
They all basically said the same thing.
You will get pulled over, because, we find that folks with tint tend to have a higher likelihood of other stuff going on.
If you not riding dirty, you'll be fine

It's basic profiling. Same goes for race-me stickers, flashy aftermarket wheels, and really loud cars
