Went through the third weekend of heavy rain and wind, with no leakage inside. So I'm going to consider putting the interior back in.

Got rear-ended in the elementary school drop-off line. Which was no big deal, her foot probably slid off the brake pedal and it was all of 1mph. BUT, when we pulled up to the drop-off curb (they do 4 cars at once) she locked her doors when I got out of the car to look at the rear end and then zoomed around me to get away. 'S ok, sent the pic of her license plate to the SRO who saw the hit while directing traffic. Hit and run in SC is an automatic license revocation, IIRC...

Same day, road debris that I didn't see until too late bashed along the bottom of the car. Only victim seems to be the driver's side fuel tank cover, which got pretty badly smashed. Fuel tank OK though.

Same day STILL, trying to pull into the mall parking lot to take a recalcitrant child to see Santa (damnit, we're going to see Santa and you'll like it), figured I was in the wrong parking lot section and couldn't get there from here. T/C off because the module is in my library floor with the rest of the interior. Slung the car around hot and basically pulled a burnout-drift from one parking section into another. Got a two-hands-up and WHOO from the child... I guess she *is* mine

Last but not least, changed oil to Mobile1 0W-40 and transmission fluid to Redline MT85. Oil and filter seem to be no major difference from the 5W30 Castrol synthetic I was using; the trans is much smoother shifting but, oddly, not into first. Got the stuff to do the differential but I'll need actual jacks and jackstands for that, not just ramps.

My wife did that once upon a time. I worked at a dealer then and paid the mechanics to hose the remains off the bottom of her car. They thought it would be fun to give the job to a newbie telling him it was my dog and to save as much as possible so I could bury it...

Smell lasted for quite a while (exhaust) and caught the attention of neighborhood dogs :-)

No pics yet. But sold the z1 test pipes and bought the Z1 100 cpsi high flow cats. Hopefully theyll arrive before xmas. Hoping they give me the sound im wanting without the drone i experienced. Im looking for a coupe mid pipe to modify for the sedan as i feel the extra small piping and extra long resonators are the issue. I may have to bite the bullet and build my exhaust sooner than i wanted.

I've been wanting to buy locking lug nuts for a while now. After some research and browsing different styles, I landed on these spike lug nuts.

Took my car to get an alignment and cornerweight adjustment. Also had the front raised 1/2-inch to reduce sway bar mount hitting the pavement. Car is level along the sill, now. Only obvious difference is the steering wheel no longer points left a couple of degrees.

This is the first alignment after installing the coil-overs this summer; they added a touch more than one degree negative and the tires were not happy. That -3 degrees camber was great on the track but sucked for wear. Toe is now almost zero in front and just a smidge more in the rear. I fully expect almost no inner tire wear. Thankfully, I didn't need to get longer toe rods.

For me, it was simple, I wanted to try something different other than the average lug nut and figured the black color would be suttle on the car. Aggressive wheels, tires, offset, and now aggressive lug nuts was my thought process.

personally i think those spikes look ok in some cases, in most they dont. it depends on the wheel setup and the whole car theme in general.

All cleaned up. No more butt-hurt nonsense, and no more trolling.

Move on and keep it breezy.

Z1 hfc 100 cel count

Swapped out the z1 test pipes for the z1 100 cpsi hfc. There is still a smell though much less intense. Reduced my drone by 75-80 percent. Im a happy camper. Also the low rpm hesitation associated with test pipes untuned is not nearly as dramatic but is still there some. Now to figure out my X pipe/coupe exhaust setup.
