Don't take this wrong, because I love seeing this stuff, and you deserve all kinds of respect for your G and the way you share your hobby online. But at some point you have to realize your hobby exceeds the car you're working with, right?
Or not. It's all so very subjective.
I do see where you're coming from and I do partially agree with what your saying... But this has been a hobby and passion of mine for over 30 years so this hasn't been the first car I've gone a little overboard with and it definitely won't be the last (in fact I'm planning an LS3 engine swap for my Porsche as my Winter project next year). I tend to keep cars for quite a while so they tend to go through many stages of modifications during the time I own them. I've owned 5 different cars for 10 years or longer and I definitely went well beyond what I originally intended with several of them... the G included. But this is a hobby and not something I do expecting to get anything back out of it when I sell the car. In fact, I'm running out of things to do to the G so I will probably be selling it next year in favor of what I like to call my "last hurrah"... My original plan was for that car to be an F-Type, but after driving an F-Type and an AMG GT-S back-to-back I think my heart is set on the AMG now. Of course I also just recently drove the new Lexus LC500 and was surprised how much I liked it... I'm getting old, I guess.
Sorry, I'm getting off topic now, but my point is that I'm the type of person that gets out of what I put into the car, so my enjoyment comes from the doing and not what happens later on.

Thanks, guys. The garage (and the house) is actually very new to me. After many, many years of working on my cars in a standard 2 car garage (so I can sympathize) I finally got my dream garage... It's almost 1000 ft² with 10 ft ceilings... just tall enough for a lift. I plan to have the floor recoated next month and then I will have a lift installed which should pretty much complete my dream garage.
Yeah I think XM is currently having a free month. I think you can turn off traffic in the settings. The trial should end in a few days anyways (assuming that's what it is)

I don't have a XM subscription.
Toggled to the XM source, nothing. A message that the radio wasn't activated and a commercial in the background.
I'm getting flash flood warnings and it's not even raining

Yeah, I don't have one either. I'm pretty sure XM Traffic has been enabled for free. Not sure why or for how long though. I have seen posts of other people having the same thing pop up. I haven't driven my G in a few days so I don't know if its giving flood warnings (it has been raining a ton) but I do remember seeing traffic on the map a few days ago.

I saw a traffic icon this morning but I'm nav stupid. What does it mean?
My car has recently started broadcasting weather alerts. Usually it’s a flash flood warning
How the F do I turn this fecal matter off????
That's too funny. I got that exact thing every time I started my car over the holiday weekend. Never before or since though. My wife panicked for a second. I told her there was no way there was a flash flood. Hadn't rained in at least a week.
Good thing LOL, my sister in law got a HOA fine for her yard looking like that
I bet! The HOA actually loves me. The previous owner had this huge house as a Section 8 home. The people (of course) didn't take care of the house or the yard. I bought, gutted and remodeled it last year (right before I bought the G). I had gotten most of the grass together but I had it treated to rid it of weeds and the strip between my and my neighbors house looked like that until I aerated and seeded. It's a process but not my 1st rodeo
