Haha! Knowing that I needed a new battery, I began researching the Optima's and found that the Yellow Top was an option. I figured, why not..

Installed the RJM pedal last night. I'm very impressed with how easily it went in. Directions are perfect. I think I need to do some fine tuning or just get used to the "stock" setting. I'd say it's about 90% perfect as is. I probably will not adjust it until I stop leaning forward every time I let out the clutch.

Do you have a plan to prevent power loss during installation? My favorite is to leave the car running while swapping the battery. Granted, I haven't changed one in a G. So I don't know if it would cause a problem. It always feels less risky doing customers' cars.

That's a great idea right there but unfortunately it isn't available on the website

I was thinking of getting a red top myself just so it matches my engine bay even though it has a cover on top of it lol

I've just swapped it out, but didn't do anything to prevent power loss. I'll need to reconfigure my steering wheel and seat settings, but all else is working as expected.

Sorry...this is the one that I have. The other one just came up faster during the search. Was using it as a semi-reference for what would work.

It certainly seems the way to go. I have my lights staying on after I turn off the car and sometimes have an entire weekend of short trips. That deep cycle should help avoid any problems. Thanks for the reminder.

After swapping out the battery yesterday, I'm not sure if it's due to the deep cycle or the fact that my old battery really needed to be replaced, but she now starts on one crank! The seat and steering wheel adjusts much quicker too!
