Did a few things over last weekend. Got the car all detailed up, including the engine bay.

As well as purchased a new set of wheels and tires. They are the M45S wheels and they came with a set of the Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06 on them, with about 90% tread remaining. Only paid $550 for the wheels and tires, and the tires alone seem to be worth quite a bit more than that, so I am happy. They need a little work, but I am ok with that.

Not my actual purchase, just for reference.

Nice gains, 4DR! That baseline number seems really high. What kind of Dyno was this done on?

LOL. Wheels always look better clean and stacked on the family room floor.

Or the dining room table. That's a good look, too.

2G, it was on a Mustang Dyno at Dyno-Comp in Scottsdale, Arizona. By baseline, I mean that it was with the intake mods, RHFCs, and exhaust - but before the tune on UpRev. Just doing some quick math, figuring 328-hp/269-lb-ft at the crank (Infiniti's published numbers) on a stock G37 with a 15% drivetrain loss puts it at 278.8-hp/228.65-lb-ft at the wheels. So if I baselined at 284-hp/241-lb-ft, that's basically a 6-hp/13-lb-ft gain over stock with the mods, which is sad, but seems completely reasonable in terms of it not being over-inflated. The tune then extracted the full potential of the mods and we ended the day at 307-hp/252-lb-ft. Hopefully this jives with what other owners are experiencing.

Pretty sure a stock g37 isn’t putting down anything close to 278

Keeping this a friendly and constructive conversation, I know there are variances between types of dynos, weather conditions, car maintenance/upkeep, etc., but here's four dyno runs on stock G37s that come in even higher than 278 whp.

Motorvate DIY
286-hp/244-ft-lbs bone stock

Nomad
286-hp/tq not shown

exxDUDExx
286-hp/268-tq (no graph shown though)

NoLimitMotorsport
284-hp/240-ish tq (graph is hard to read)

Did an oil change, swapped on the winter tires, put my winter mats in and put in a new air freshener. All ready for winter.

Yeah, I already had to break out the snow brush a week or two ago and I've used it a few times. It's getting to the point where it's below freezing overnight now and it's snowed twice already. Today wasn't too bad but did have a few snow flakes come down for about 5 minutes while doing the swap over.

Ah, I just noticed where you are located. Good luck out there, we probably won’t see our first snowflakes for at least 2 months. Which tires did you go with?

I'm putting my duckfeet & snows on the car today, too. Right in the middle of things, actually... three corners down, one to go. Normally don't do this until Thanksgiving, but I discovered some crazy inner-edge wear on my front PSS, right to the belts. So, that was pretty scary.

Swapping wheels is a big production for me, because I use 15mm spacer adapters during the winter. This means I've got 3 different sets of lug-nuts to deal with. It's a very zen-moment kind of day. Sobriety optional, too.

This is my fifth, and likely last season on these Blizzak WS70's. I've use this same set of wheels and tires on my last 3 cars now. I don't drive a ton though, and when I measured them yesterday before install they were all around 6/32nds of an inch. Probably replace them with similar tires next year.

Yikes, good thing you didn't have a blow out or anything being worn down that car. Is that from your camber? Time for an alignment again or just going to have to replace tires earlier? Today is our thanksgiving so if it makes you feel better about doing it so early just pretend you're a 2 hour drive west and you can still say you did it on Thanksgiving.

Yep. When I looked at the tires off the car last winter, I was well aware of the wear on the inner edge, but it wasn't feathered or anything, just smooth. And I thought they would last OK for another 4000 miles give or take. But apparently they were right on the edge (no pun) at the time, and I wasn't keeping an eye on them. I'll take a picture later... it really unnerved me seeing it worn the way it is.

Getting an alignment in the next few weeks. It's very possible toe is off on my front passenger tire, because the driver side isn't nearly that bad.

Wait, I actually created a thread about this before Spring. Here: https://www.myg37.com/forums/wheels-...ve-camber.html
