I picked up a Nismo 370z H-pipe from a 2016 that had 13K miles on it last week for $50 and had it installed this weekend. I had my sedan's mid pipe cut from just before the resonators and two new pipes installed with flanges so I can remove the H-pipe and mid pipe in pieces if I need to, that and it makes it look more like stock. Cost $150 for the install and pipe work.
Nismo 370z H-pipe from a 2016 370z with 13k miles on it. Original sedan Y-pipe setup Nismo 370z H-pipe connected with original mid pipe, the H-pipe is slightly shorter than the original Y-pipe Nismo 370z H-pipe with modified sedan mid pipe
^ I learned my lesson. Leave the car on jackstands at home and bring the shop the wheels in another car.
Makes it difficult to get an alignment at the same time. Next time I'll just let the service writer know the lugs are spec'd at 80ft/lbs, not a half dozen whacks with a 600ft/lb air wrench, then stand outside the bay eye-****ing them like a psychopath while they put my wheels back on

I did pretty much the same thing a few weeks ago, only with my other wheels & snows instead of jackstands. It's a real PITA, but you get peace of mind that the shop won't get brutal with your wheels and lug nuts.

If you can't trust them to properly mount your wheels and tires, what makes you think they'll do a better job on the alignment
I generally put my car up on jack stands and take the wheels in, but I'm going to throw caution to the wind and have my front PSS mounted at the Fireston next to my work on Wednesday. I'm taking my torque wrench
I always get the before and after printout on the allignment. They actually did a good job with the allignment and balance, they just went mad with the impact wrench. Had to take the wheels off standing on the crossbar
I always haul my wheels in my truck to have them mounted/balanced, the guy I've been going to is awesome w/ handling the wheels like they were his own, but I still want to be the one putting them on the car.
Had several bad incidents at Discount Tire w/ several vehicles and shops, so I avoid them unless it's a last resort (like what happened on a trip to Vegas a couple years back)

Nice upgrade there, and $50 for that whole section, what a steal. Any plans for the back end of the exhaust?

That I'm not sure yet, I'm rather happy with the upgrade for now but I want to get some more miles on it before I decide. When I first got it installed, the new pipes made this horrible raspy sound when we first started the car. But since then, the raspy sound is gone and I've noticed the car is now quieter in some ways and louder in others. Under normal acceleration I use to get this slight drone from the mid section of the exhaust getting near 2700rpm, that's completely gone. But at WOT, it's a tad louder but better sounding when getting over 3500rpm. So if nothing changes after some more miles, I think I'm really content with the upgrade.
