Got my car back from the shop and went for a test run, holy crap! So, obviously the Whiteline differential bushings are night and day difference from a blown OEM bushing, that's not even a fair comparison. But even comparing to prior to the OEM one failing, this is a significant difference. It's most noticeable during cornering/acceleration, I can actually feel the VLSD working now. I tried turning off the traction control and wow that made it even more fun. Even pushing the car to and past it's "limits" (meaning I got the rear wheels loose lol), the rear end felt very solid. My confidence in the car is much higher now, and it just drives more... angry. That's the best word I can come up with.
I previously tried the Z-1 transmission mount, but that had way too much NVH for me. This has hardly any. I can feel a slight vibration in the handle, but that's definitely enhanced by my titanium shift ****. And I don't mind it all, it actually makes me feel connected to the car. But this has me VERY curious about doing the motor mounts, since I see that Z-1 has a kit for this car.

Your experience mirrors mine, with both the Z1 trans mount--WAY too much NVH--and the diff bushing.
For anyone who has a blown differential bushings, this is a win!

Very happy for you, Furlow! Well done. How much were you dinged for the labor on this project?
I believe the motor mounts are a straight-forward install, however access to the mounts is not easy. My mechanic said probably half a day labor, give or take.
I know for a fact that 4DRZ is dying to have someone else here do these Z1 motor mounts. Me too, for that matter.

Rochester, my shop charged $316 for the labor for the install. Not bad considering he started out losing the rear bushing and quoting me $1,300 for a complete rear subframe replacement lol.
So NO ONE on here has done the motor mounts? Damn. I've been searching the forum for it and couldn't find anything. $200ish for the kit and $400-$500 for the install. That would be a tough lesson if I didn't like it...
Edit: Couldn't help myself, called my shop and they quoted me $540 to install the motor mounts. $198 for the kit. The question is, is Z-1 the kit to get? Not sure if the adjustability is good or bad, or if one of the other "static" kits would be a better way to go?

That's kind of where I'm at as well. I think if I hadn't done the transmission mount, I'd be ordering the kit now. But that trans mount was just way too much.

It's not just the $700ish to have it installed. If it's unbearable, then it's ANOTHER $500 to have the OEM's put back in. That would be a soul crusher.
