The upshifts sound much crisper. If you drive in the right way, you can def keep it on the quiet side. Just wait till you add the Berks.
Youre right, it sounds identical. Berks Berks Berks!

In fact, looking back almost every YouTube video that I saw that swayed me to buy MD in the first place had art pipes, HFC, or TP.
Woohoo! Yup, same here.

So for a G37x sedan, is there only Tanabe for axle back exhaust? No M2 or Beluga?

Nope!

Tanabe
HKS Hi-Power
GT-Haus
Top Speed

However, Beluga, Manzo, and Topspeed all offer Y-pipe back configurations too.

Thanks man, I'm guessing this Top Speed configuration is going to have a bit of drone without the canisters that the Tanabe ones have, right?

Actually the TS sounds pretty good from what I’ve heard. I can’t imagine it being loud enough to produce drone.

Do you know of a resonated axleback exhaust on the cheaper side? I may pull the trigger on those but I just don't want to regret it

Update: Motordyne ****ed up again. First time they sent me a RWD y-pipe. Now they sent me an AWD y-pipe that was too short (guessing it was for a coupe). Third time is the charm I guess? This is getting out of hand.

Damn that sucks man. This is one of the reasons i decided not to buy the Motordyne art pipe, i don't want to go through the same dog and pony show i went through for my catback. Hopefully they get their **** together and do it right the third time. Smh
