Yes. OEM shorty headers, FI resonated cats, FI 2.5" catback with 18" resonators. Not at all as aggressive sounding as yours, but it certainly turns heads when I get on it, while being reasonable otherwise.

Enjoy it while you're enjoying it. Getting old has a way of tamping down your automotive values.

If your profiles are accurate, that's 29 and 39.

For perspective, when I was 46 I felt as young as I was at 36. But now that I'm 56... Not so much anymore.

Give me another decade, and I'll probably be driving a Lincoln and yelling at you hooligans.

LOLOLOL. The driving the Lincoln sent me. Hahaha. Yea I'll be 40 this year. Wife absolutely despises the car... as do the neighbors. But I'm still young at heart also. Funny thing is these kids nowadays want instant gratification for what most of us worked for and slaved to achieve. That's why enjoy the forums. Wealth of knowledge but you just need to search. But now I'm currently working towards boost. Since I'm keeping the car, might as well go all out... or as the kids say... full send. Plan is turbo. I tell the wife "it will help quiet the exhaust more. 👀"

You'd be correct! Hitting the big 30 this week. Despite the current stable, it was weird how focused I was on getting a hatch. Other cars I was really considering were the GTI and Golf R. Guess my tastes are changing after all. Not Lincoln or Buick changing; but changing none the less.

So after drooling over all 116 pages of this thread a few times, and after talking with Rochester some, I am planning to put in an order for a FI 2.5" catback with 18" resonators. I have Z1 HFC's on my car, so I am a little curious if it'll be too loud for me, but only one way to find out about that (per Rochester it sounds like I'll be good on noise as long as I'm not flooring it - TLDR my wife hates loud cars). I am dead set on this setup already, so this won't be changing, but in my search for all of the different catbacks the sedans have, I came across one that I haven't been able to find too much info on, and am curious about it.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/OBX-Catback...6/183011331028

It looks like this is an ARK GRiP clone (and obviously being an Ebay catback probably has fitment issues). Has anyone run this or have any input on it? I'm not planning on going for this one, but it could be an option for someone looking for another "budget" exhaust. Any thoughts or experience with it?

FI makes really high quality components, I'm sure this catback won't disappoint in the way of getting what you're paying for.

As for the noise... just don't blame me for my opinions if or when they don't match up with your reality.

Oh I'm sure it will be exactly what I'm looking for. As for my wife, if she's the one riding around with earplugs, that's on her (We own a VERY comfortable couch lol)

This has mostly positive reviews. I think I @PNW_IPL had it but switched it out for something else. Could ask him. If its anything like Ark its on the just loud enough to daily end of the scale.

I absolutely loved the obx version of ark grip. However when I installed the long tube headers the exhaust note changed and changed the obx note. I finally decided to go motordyne as thats the exhaust I fell in love with when I had a couple. I do not believe the ark brand is any better than the obx version of the exhaust. The build quality was at a high level and fitment was perfect. Hmu if you need more info.
as for age haha I'm 33 and still feel 17 at times.. although my ears are starting to get irritated with other cars exhaust noise i absolutely love my motordyne and so does my 2 year old!

Now I am curious. Has anyone had the OBX version of Ark grip and compared it to the Ark grip? Ark grip is on my list for saving for and if they are the same, I can get my exhaust sooner

I can't comment on them directly, but I can tell you my Ark has held up great for 3 winters in the salt belt now. I've seen other ebay systems start to rust and look like junk even without winter (J2), so OBX could potentially have problems down the line depending on climate.

Wondering what y'all think this might be.
There are too many variables to determine however it will point me in the right direction when it's time to upgrade.
I pulled the tips out a bit until I was satisfied with the look.

The car is a sport sedan 4was
Car has been in a crash
Bumper aligns with everything else
Possibly non 4was exhaust
Mufflers were pushed in the accident
ETC
