G37 newbie seeks advice: So many service bulletins??
Hi guys,
I am new to this forum because I recently purchased a 2010 G37 Journey AT. It has 81K on it, one owner, serviced regularly, no accidents. I still own a 1999 BMW 323i at 142K which I got sick and tired of fixing. Anyways...
I have already gone to the dealership twice for two commons problems:
ITB10-051 - A/C Blows Warm at idle
ITB12-027d - 2009 - 2011 G37 SHIFT RESPONSIVENESS ISSUES.
The dealership serviced the car without charging me a dime but I will have to visit them third time because of the chatter of the tranny after the reprogramming. Also for the ITB07-004 - Wind noise coming from the rear passenger door. There is some squeaking coming from the headliner at sharp turns but I will not even bother because it seems it is due to chassis roll. Other than that I loved the comfort and the features of the car... Then I looked at the TSB list, it seems there are lot of problems with these cars. What do you think?
TIA for the input
Matt

I think any car that used the same design for so long is going to have some TSBs. I have a 2009 G w/ 51K and the only thing Im going to have to have done is the shift responses. I wouldn't worry about it these are super solid cars.

My a/c blows warm at idle and driving as well. Mine is an 08 sedan A/T. Doesn't really bother me but it can make it pretty hot in the car if you drive long distances with the windows up. My old 05 sedan did the same thing. Like he said these cars are pretty reliable.. You will be happy when 3 months go by with no problems at all. I owned a 2000 323i 5mt as my first car and I swear it was in the shop getting fixed once a month. One time my coolant bottle exploded in the McDonald's drive thru. Lol. Anyways welcome to the G community. And congratulations on your purchase.
