Bought TopSpeed pro1 exhaust, I got scammed?

Hello guys,

I purchased a used catback system from craigslist. the seller said its Topspeed pro1 catback system. When i reached his place, dude owned a nice big house in a very good neighborhood and owned a GTR, 2015 M6 with with adv 1 and another M5.

So seeing that the guy got money and he loves cars, I forgot about double checking what I am getting (so fool of me :/..)

he sold me this system saying its topspeed pro1 for sedan for a great deal.
see pictures below.
now when i got home, I showed pictures to my cousin and we realized that this looks different than whats online. can you guys double check if i got topspeed pro1 or something else lol...
this item was sitting in his garage, i will have to clean / polish it.
I am super suspicious with the tip, look inside the tip, is it like that?

All this for $300
Y pipe, test pipes and the whole thing.
PS: I will not be installing test pipes.

see inside of the tip?
PS: Its 78F out here in south florida .

see the design?

the tip inside the muffler is not coming off, even if i take off the screw that was installed in it, i think its part of the muffler..

It certainly looks different to me, the picture below is the top speed pro-1 for our G's. If you look at the mid pipe on this one it clearly has a brace that yours does not.

thanks for the input, but i think mine is not Bevel Edge Tip version. you are comparing it with the wrong part. look at the other angle cut model.

What I think is that topspeed has changed the stye now, before on earlier models they did not have that brace rod on mid pipe..

which brace part you are talking about?

do you mean that structural support rod or the thing in the muffler?
can you verify that the inside of the muffler looks normal?

it looks like either TSP or Manzo to me. Both are nearly identical and made by the same ODM overseas.

Looks like the TopSpeed w/ the chitty as$ nasty thin wall tips rather than the 100x better beveled/rolled tips, change the tips and you should be back to smiling
And all that for $300 is a deal, even w/ having to do a tip change.

If you notice in your top pic, the tips have a 1/4" hole toward the end of the tip, that's the dead giveaway that that's the chit tipped version of the Top Speed Pro1, probably bought during that group buy debacle here~

I think there's some pics scattered toward the end, but this was a sad experience for all involved.

The link works for me but maybe it's just open for staff

As far as tips, it's a 2.25" OD and the latest versions have 4" OD (mine are 4.5"). It would be a simple weld on job for any exhaust shop and some of the clamp on ones don't look bad as long as the clamp section isn't obtrusive.

Here's one pic I found in that thread, I think the latest tips at least have the sawblade edges cleaned up YUCK

Here's just one link from Magnaflow to give you an idea of what's out there

Yeppers! At least it's an easy fix, and there's many nice tips out there that probably look even better than the good TS tips (although I do really like mine)
