These should easily replace the straight cut tips on my topspeed right?

I originally had the ugly straight tips. The VPE tips welded on with no problems.

now the thing is, will changing the tip change the sound?
currently I have a silencer installed because i cannot deal with the droning. I fear that welding a new tip will make me lose the option to put a removable silencer (which is nice, I can remove silencer on certain days).
