Bought TopSpeed pro1 exhaust, I got scammed?

Had it installed just now and i have to say i am not happy with the sound.
My cousin installed his y pipe back topspeed pro-1 with bevel tip and his sound was loud and grunty.
I got angle tip cat back. Eveb though i got bigger y pipe installed on top of the system my cousin got, my car sounded almost like stock. Only difference is i got angle cut and he got the other type.
Why there is such a huge difference? Is it the tip?

I saw a video, someone removing this silencer thing from HKS exhaust. it seems like in HKS it was simply bolt installed. In my case it seems like its welded in, even though I removed the nut, I used some WD40 and tried to pull this thing using pliers, no avail :/
i dont understand why they had to install a "silencer" on a aftermarket exhaust. not just that, the end tip of the silencer is very narrow vs the whole exhaust is wide.. all this work and there is a bottleneck right at the end of the tip.. wow

I was able to remove the silencer tip from the exhaust myself. It was an annoying task but i got it out.
these are the sound clips.
With silencer installed
Silencer removed (Cold Start)
Silencer removed (Warm Car)
that do you guys think?

yeah, I was skeptical before installing it. I think its money well spent. Although, I would love to install the silencer back again for long trips.
This morning was my first normal commute after the exhaust install and i will have to say, it is a bit loud, constant bass at cruise speeds. I must say, I do like the tone when car shifts
