Just bought a G37xS and it came with just 1 key and I'd like 2. My dealer quoted me around $75 for a key fob and $75 total for programming and cut, total near $150 +/-.

I read around and found some used/replacement new keyfobs for $30-50, (and some plain keys for the fob insert for under $10.

Question is, can I get a used keyfob, a new key insert, get that cut at a local hardware/key store, and then ask for just programming at infiniti? Guessing this in total would be under $100. If so, I may even want to get 2 more, one for the wife.

Ebay usually has the fobs either with new blanks or still keyed.

Also alot of locksmiths can rekey your car for $30 - $75 so it may be a cheaper route all the way around.
