Car jerking and hesitating while driving need help

09 g37 V-6 with 85k miles, in the past 2 weeks, car is jerking and pulling during acceleration. Car seems to lose power and will not go. Usually lasts only about 45 seconds. Once the car has had a few minutes of rest it will return to normal. Has only happened twice. B4 taking to dealership any known issues or something I can check ?

Try pulling codes and understand them first.

No check engine light, I'm assuming no codes showing. I will clean the MAF sensors.

Do you also have aftermarket intakes?

Spark plugs or MAF?

Clean your MAF then reset ECU

There is nothing you can check. Anyone with a OBD-2 scanner can look at the mode $06 data and see if anything is "failing".

The next time it happens, look at the check engine light and see if it is flashing.
If it is, the engine is misfiring. This may not set a code if the misfires don't exceed the threshold, but the OBD-2 mode $06 will count ALL MISFIRES and tell you which cylinder is.

Since it only happens once in a while, don't bother changing plugs (they are not due), cleaning the MAF or resetting the ECU.
You should keep a log of when it happens, (day, time, milage) the weather, (dry, wet) and fuel level. This can help the dealer figure out a difficult intermitting issue.
