The interior noise is getting worse and I can't take it anymore

Late to the party, but I know how to fix the creaky console (creaks when you press on the chrome trim to the sides of the console near the shifter). There is another plastic extrusion that is screwed to the bottom side of the top of the console that houses the shift indicator, etc. The screws can work themselves loose. Just follow any of the various console removal threads on here, then tighten down the screws. Sorry about no pics, but its pretty easy to figure out once you have the console off.

At least I'm not the only one that has this problem.
The source of my creaking and squeaking seems to be the point at which the edge of the dashboard plastic rubs against the glass of the windshield. I've found that running the defroster tends to tamp down on this effect a bit.

Is anyone familiar with the high pitched squeak that comes from the back seat? Is this the same one that plagued the 1st gen sedans? For that one, you needed to pull the seat out and tighten an x brace that like to come loose.
