AWD system split?

AWD system split?
Does anybody know how the AWD system actually works? Like what the split is, does it ever switch to RWD only, etc. On the launch is it doing like a 70/30?
I have read somewhere it is RWD until it detects slip.
Also, what does snow mode actually do with the AWD system? I assumed it was just starting in 2nd and dulling the throttle response.

From what I've read, and my sources could be off, but seems legit, the car is RWD biased. In normal conditions the split is 95% - 100% to the rear unless a wheel slips. Infiniti claims its 100% to the rear at all times, but many people have done small tests and seems like thats not always true. If you turn off traction control, when you launch the car, while it wont give 100% to the rear wheels, it will still stay rwd biased.
Snow mode forces a 50/50 split up to about 20mph, after which it diverts more power to the rear again unless the wheels start to split.
Without snow mode, you have awd up to 12mph unless traction control is turned off, then it goes more rwd biased, although still not 100% rwd till you gain a bit of speed.

traction control is what control the torque vectoring system. So while disabling it doesnt completely turn it off, it does limit its ability to interfere. If you're concerning hard, and go into a drift, even with an AT transmission, its up to you, the driver, to recover and follow through. While I wouldnt recommend it, you can drift with an automatic transmission, and turning off the traction control is one of the steps to doing so. Also, the traction control sends power to the wheel that has the most grip, not necessarily to a front wheel.
