Bumper swap

I just wanted to know if a 2009 rear bumper can fit my 2011 bumper. Would I have to do any mods. And is it possible to keep my back up sensors and mud flaps?

bumper will fit no mods required.... you will have to drill holes for the sensors... if the bumper doesnt already have the holes, there are markings on the inside of the bumper showing where the sensors would go. .

I could not for the life of me see a difference between the 2007-2008 G35 sedan rear bumper and the G37 sedan rear bumper.

I have read that there is a difference but everytime I see a 07-08 G35 I find myself staring at the lower rear bumper to try to spot the difference and my eyes can't seem to notice a difference. Can someone point it out to me lol

Apparently it's something with the lower diffuser part. But I also can't tell a difference.

The G35 doesn't have the little holes in the bumper they use to transport the cars. The G37's do:

Those are proximity sensors. What do you mean by they are "holes used to transport cars"?

the 07-08 g35 and the 09 g37 are identical in body wise. no difference in the front or rear bumpers, 10 and higher is then the front bumper, rear bumper and headlights were updated.
that even the rear bumper, the lower part is a little different.

Oh, I was under the impression that they popped out to be tow points. I didn't realize they were so small as to be proximity sensors. I have a G35 so mine doesn't have them, my b! The more you know, right?

The 07-09 g35/g37 rear bumper are Interchangeable with the 2010+ g37 rear, they only differ slightly at the bottom along with the backup sensors, they are not tow hooks

That's the 2010+ bumper

And that's the 07-09 G35/37 bumper
The rear bumper got a face-lift along with the front end in 2010
Both bumpers benefit from a diffuser
