What material is the G37xs oem front bumper made out of?
I know, odd and dumb question. But, I just got my front end wrapped in a clear bra and of course I parked too close to a deadman strip and scrapped the underside of the front bumper and scrapped off some of the clear bra under the front bumper. Not noticeable, but concerned that it is now not protected.
What material is the oem sport bumper made out of? Concerned about salt, as it is not protected on a few spots where it got scrapped and came off.

Anything I should be concerned about? Since it is now exposed and part of the clear bra got scrapped off the bottom while slowly pulling into a parking space, and snow and salt will soon be on its way.
If I was strictly going with what "blnewt" stated, I would not be concerned but I see the word "metal" in what "infamouslkv" stated which brings me back to a little concerned. Also, if a little of the clear bra got scuffed on the bottom, the rest of it should hold on tight with no issues, correct?

I replaced my bumper a while back (still have the original in the attic). It weighs next to nothing so I doubt there's any added metal, and it's not thick enough to have any foam sandwiched in there.
There is a foam reinforcement behind the bumper cover but it isn't integrated into the cover itself.

If you want to get down to exactly what it is it's a TPO : Thermoplastic Polyolefin but in the collision industry we commonly call it Urethane. It can be repaired and painted but will not corrode. I would not worry about it. I would trim any loose Mylar (Clear Bra) off to prevent any moisture from working its way under the Mylar film.
