hey guys, just came across the Q50 sport muffler kit on the infiniti website and was wondering if it will fit a 2010 G37 sedan. I currently have the tanabe axleback and i am looking for something louder than my current setup. any suggestions.

I have the Tanabe's as well- I can't imagine the oem sport muffler would be louder. Do what I did and get high flow cats (hfc's)... they make ALL the difference in world if you want more bang for your buck!

It will not, the spare tire well is in the way, the Q50's went to a single muffler design like the coupes( Wife has a Q50)

I take that back sorry just looked it up. Didnt know they released this one. But still no, the mid pipe path is the same as the coupes

Here's a picture of this system installed.

It essentially crosses over where our trunk pan currently resides (if you remove the plastic cover, you will see what I mean). They must have changed the trunk design on the Q50 to accommodate the battery for the model.

I have to admit that I am not normally a fan of the round mufflers, but when mounted in this transverse manner, they look good.

I wish this mod could be modified to work with our cars.

I installed the sport muffler kit on my Q50. It is the best ever upgrade I've done so far. The engine note sounds like the old G37 but much louder up to 4500rpm (after that you hear more from the front).

Versus the G37 exhaust this muffler kit gives off loud low frequencies 1000-2750rpm. After that until 4500rpm it runs into this wonderful "trumpet" sound much like the Gen1 G35 coupe had.

There is also a 10 pound weight reduction.
