Arrow Black car, Black headlights

I'm looking for pictures of peoples G37 that have black paint job who painted there headlights black gloss or satin black. I would like to see how the Satin vs gloss looks. Does anyone have pics or links?

Most pictures I have seen are One Eighty and they are of the lights not installed and I want to see them installed on a black G37. I can clearly see a few that are black with gloss black, but really interested in black with Satin black headlights...any of those?

Here's a couple pics of mine, the shrouds are gloss and the housing is satin.

What do you think of the gloss paint with Satin headlights? Do you like it? Do you think gloss would be better?

I like the subtle contrast of the sating/gloss combo, if I had to do it over I think I'd stick w/ that combo. I also used a couple thin coats of VHT Niteshades paint to cover the amber side marker, it still shows through at night but masked in the daytime.
VHT Nite-Shades?
If you open up your lights be SURE to upgrade the poor OEM fresnal lens w/ the superior STiR lens, the cutoff is much cleaner and a nice blue flicker around the light edges. In the big pic you can see how clear the lens is and looks 10x better in there. Here's the source for the lens and also the butyl tape that you should use to reseal the light.
STi-R - Clear Lenses from The Retrofit Source
OCI Butyl Rubber Glue

I was going to use Niteshades in the marker

I thanks for the info on the lens and butyl tape....why not just clear silicone caulk???

The butyl tape is a more reliable seal and easier to get a good coverage since it's a consistent contact fit.

As far as how easy the lens swap, here's Anthonys' DIY that guides yoiu through the coupe version (TSXr lens)

Thanks! A buddy of mine works for TRS and they've got someone local they like to use for etching, I don't remember who the shop was off the top of my head but it's local to ATL.

Ah hello OTP NW ATL here! How much was it?

Also, did you change to the STR lens as well?

What do think of the gloss black on black look?

Lastly, what is that weird dot thing between the city light and lens light? It's like faint chrome with a black circle? I assume that is the ripple reflector pad area, but something seems to be there (top/1st pic)?

Nice, i'm actually OTP North as well (Forsyth). Are you on Atlanta G's FB group? I'm no headlight guy, my buddy who works at TRS did all the work, I just watched. =) It'd run about $500 and that's for bulbs, etched lenses (STI-R), tuning of the projector, and painted bezels and the labor for doing it all.

The gloss black looks perfect IMO, blends really well w/ the paint.

It's just part of that ripple reflector pad, my shoddy picture taking skills didn't really help much there.
