Why should I chose G37?

Why should I chose G37?
I'm going to take the wife's mdx to the dealer for some services... At same time going to go to Bennet infinity next door and test drive a 12 or 13 g37xs. Priced at 30k and 32k respectively both under 18k miles.
Would be first test drive. Anything I should pay attention to?
I'm debating between g and 2012 or newer TL SHAWD.
i know this has been debated to death.. Just welcoming your thoughts and advices.
I have had my Accord as a dd last 11 years. Before that was all sports cars... Stangs, trans am,... So something sporty, fun to drive, awd, 4 doors is what I'm looking form.. Oh and something with nice tech too.

Truth.
TL is kind of bland and boring but comfortable with a nice interior and nicer tech.
G has more kick (power), more fun to drive (rwd)(especially if you get the manual equipped version), handles better, and the tech is overall pretty good.
Or you could be like my buddy and go from a grandma green accord to an STI. He made the move and never looked back (still couldn't pass me on the track though, lol).

Not necessarily true because most people are level headed here. If someone asked me whether or not to get this car or an STI (for example) I would give them my honest opinion (which I'm 50/50 on anyway). The truth is the TL just doesn't check many boxes for enthusiasts but that doesn't mean it's not a nice car.

I am bias! Well, coming from the Acura world, i do love the RWD better. I did test drive the TL type S and it didn't deliver the power i wanted on the test drive. If you do look at it in the long run after the 100k line. The TL will start to break down faster then the G will.

Why AWD?
Unless you're way up north, should easily get by with RWD + Winter tires (+ LSD), provided you can afford good winter tires and swapping out sets of wheels is not too inconvenient. Of course my bias is AWD is overrated for winter driving, relative to a properly equipped RWD car
And this will unlock the RWD Sport model ("S"), which will also unlock the 6MT model, which will then unlock a much more engaging and fun driving experience.
If you must have AWD ... CPO Audi S4

I live in IN, and even though we don't usually get 15" of snow at a time, we have been getting a lot the past couple of years.
The main reason I went with the xS is because I have only owned FWD "granny" cars in the past. Going from that on snow and ice to a RWD "performance sedan" is not really recommended in my opinion.
Heck, just yesterday I pulled back into my subdivision and gave a little gas, and the rear completely slid out on me. Now, I was doing it intentionally since I had heard the G was RWD bias...and it obviously is.
I guess my point is...some people swear by AWD, other people swear RWD with snow tires is just as good. For me, having the AWD is a peace of mind thing and I love it. It's also a not getting stuck thing as well. Bottom line is...even if you have snow tires...if your car is RWD and your rear tires are buried in snow/ice but your front tires are on dry pavement...it doesn't do you any good. You're still stuck like chuck.
But I digress...in reference to OP's original question: I too looked at a TL SH-AWD. Partially because of people comparing the two all the time. For me, the TL is about class with a little bit of sport. The G is about sport with a little bit of class. I am in IT Security, so I don't need a "business class" car to boost mine or my company's ego. Nobody in CyberSec cares what you drive, because most guys doing CND/DCO/OCO/etc are the most non-car-knowing-or-caring people I know. So for me, it's about what I want, because of the career field I'm in. I know for others, class and all that in regards to what you drive is actually a big deal. Hopefully OP is in a field that doesn't dictate for them what they should drive.

However, the xS is an attractive *looking* package. And the sport seats are a big plus. Throw a set of aftermarket sway bars on the car, with a set of summer tires, and call it /done.

front wheel drive bias on the Acura - rear wheel drive on the G37.
For me, that does it right there.

I cannot get past the FWD piece...even the AWD version is based on a FWD car. Sorry, RWD Snob for life.
