Help with Code C1109 and Rough Exhaust Sound
I've noticed my '09 sounding rough in the mornings and just attributed it to the normal "loud" starting sounds that the Gs typically have, but lately the noise doesn't go away and is definitely louder. Eventually, it may calm down after driving 10 miles or so. What I'm hearing sounds like it's in the entire exhaust system and more noticeable under the driver's seat. I've done a visual inspection and found nothing abnormal. I'm also all stock, so no Cat back exhaust, etc. to be suspicious of. There is also a slight smell of burning plastic, but I can't find a source of that -possibly a plastic bag or something that was sucked against the exhaust and burned some then blew off (no visible sign of it though). The smell may or may not be related to this problem.
There aren't any lights coming on the dash, but I stopped by Advance Auto on the way home tonight and the only code it pulled was a C1109 - Battery Voltage Abnormal. The car starts fine and there haven't been any indications of a battery issue. The battery is a Nissan and is 2 years old. I checked the standing voltage and got 12.6 which seems low to me, and it was 14.3 when the engine was running. I don't have a grounding kit.
Could this be just a battery going bad and throwing off the electric valve timing and thus the strange exhaust noises?
Thought I'd throw this out to the forum for suggestions before taking it in to the dealer.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Not yet since I just got that code and thought I'd research the forum. So the code is for the brake system? I'll get the alternator checked since that may be the source.

ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) power voltage is abnormal.
