I think I need to re-read all of these posts. What is the status of ordering? Really interested in one. It looks great!

The mold was changed slightly due to the fitment being ever so slightly off. Once the new prototype is shipped and installed, if all is well then they'll be available for purchase.

I think the vendor is good on folks to prototype, since he should have the mold and measurements correct. I will however post when they're finally available.

Just wanted to bump this thread back to life! I finally got my second test spoiler installed, and I've got a winner. The fit is VERY tight, with no room for error during installation. I also decided to go with a obsidian black paint job, and the quality is just as good as the QAA moonlight white spoiler that I was originally sent. Pics coming after daybreak.

That's great news! Looking forward to the pics.

Did you notice that bat6wc is selling his prototype in a FS thread for $75? That's pretty ballsy seeing as how it was given to him for free.

I'd love to see more action on this roof wing, but from my perspective, there's nothing I'm going to be doing while it's below freezing, and the world is covered in snow & ice. I'm still two months away from installing mine beyond the initial test-fit.

Based on my recollection of math, his profit margin is UNDEFINED

Whatever, man. Of course he can do what he wants with it. It's his property, regardless how it was acquired.

Similarly, I can have whatever opinion I like on the matter, because it's just an opinion.

If it were me, I'd pay it forward. That's all.

That's what I'm doing with my first sample. No point in charging someone for something I didn't pay for.

Call me ballsy then. Nothing wrong with me trying to make money. I went through the hassle of measuring, taking photos, and spending time on this project. Time = money. I put it on, didnt like it and now I am moving it. I suppose if I were to give it away free, I shouldnt even charge shipping?

Cry about capitalism all you want. Have you never found or acquired something for free, to sell it? Give me a break. Hell, the first prototype they sent me, I gave away for free. So if I acquired some 20" wheels for free and I didnt want them, I would have to give those away too for free? What about jewelry, gold, or anything else?

No need to call me out on something that isnt wrong.

LOL. Cool your jets, bat6wc. Right, wrong, something in between. Ethics is a b1tch.

Well morally and ethically I feel great. Just sounds like forum gossip when someone says "hey did you see what this person is doing." And then have the ***** to judge me?

Haha. I'm cool bro but this was uncalled for.

Here are some pics I took today of the spoiler. Enjoy.

Other angles were difficult to capture, as the white car was reflecting off of the black spoiler.

Small pics, but still good enough for opinions.

I think we're of the same mind that this particular design roof-wing looks better in gloss black than body color. Partly because of the black roof channels, but mostly as a trim piece with continuity to the B and C-Pillars. And in particular, with a dark tint over the rear window.

You seem happy, Dj1ofDet. I'd like to see good quality, larger, whole-car photos. And since both of our sedans are MW, and I won't be doing this again for a few months, all the better.

I've got more photos coming, but my ride is dirty and weather sucks right now. I'll have some full shots up soon.
