Topspeed pro 1 exhaust

I have been looking into getting an exhaust for my 2011 g37x sedan for a while. I basically came down to either the tanabe, topspeed or a muffler delete. As much as id love to get a full catback its not entirely in my budget and I dont want the car to be too loud. I am basically on the fence of buying the topspeed and just wondering if I should pull the trigger.

Where do you live? I've read that the topspeed exhaust can rust in climates where it snows. Maybe someone with one can chime in here as well.

If you're on a budget then you could buy some rust inhibitor and spray the topspeed before you install it. If you're not on a budget then I recommend the Tanabe medallion exhaust. No rust problems with those. Both sound great.

I have had this exhaust for over a year, and no rust problems (I live in Southern California though). It still sounds great and looks great!

I have it on my G Sedan and I'm in Chicago. Last Winter was brutal and due to the salt, I did experience some corrosion on the mufflers. I ended up using Eagle1 Never Dull and Mothers metal polish with a Powerball Mini to clean it up.

However, I'm not a fan of the fit. The mufflers\tips hang too low IMO, and the driver's side muffler installs on an angle. Not to mention the customer service, or lack thereof. Once I find a used Invidia exhaust, I'll be unloading this one on the cheap.

Hmm must be hit or miss because mine fits fine and any questions I had were answered quick. I just put mine on maybe 2 months ago.

I live on long island so the winters can sometimes be bothersome

The Topspeed Y-Back is Stainless steel right? Shouldn't be an issue with rust.

I think it's the best value at the moment. I just saw the version with the rolled tips on eBay for under $500.

Had mine for 3.5 years w/ no rust issues, the issues that have been reported are at the welds. Even though the pipes are stainless the integrity of the steel at the welds can be degraded somewhat. This is fairly common w/ many exhausts that are subject to heavy doses of salted roads and a lot of icy/snowy/wet conditions without being cleaned up very often.

I have it and no rust here and i am in NY. Only at the welds and its not that much to even notice and some at the end of the piping but doesn't affect the exhaust at all. It has held up pretty well and sounds amazing for the price.

I've had mine on for 30K miles and one NE winter, and did have a decent amount of pitting on the tips and muffler parts I could see, after that first winter. Some elbow grease and stainless polish cleaned that up and love the sound for the price.
