Why wouldn't you
Dear Penthouse--
I never thought it would happen to me but.......
Exactly. A- troll work with the G35 vs G37 throwdown
He was the epitome of a ricer, 15 HP for this part, 15 HP for this part, and his 155hp 240 was pushing over 200 hp and was "walking away from 5 liter Mustangs" yet my 2.0 Neon R/T would creep away from him. I would then extrapolate that my Neon could smoke a Mustang just to **** him off. Good times. He should have gotten serious and boosted that thing

Amen to that. Had one of these - a 1989 notchback coupe - that I was absolutely crazy about. Had it for something like eight or nine years before finally selling it, and I've been kicking myself ever since.

I put 100K miles on a 2004 G35 Sedan that was still pretty much in mint condition when I traded it in.
The G35 was definitely a fine car during it's tenure, but the G37 is quite a bit more refined/mature with very few tradeoffs.
It's quicker as well, and gets better mileage.

What I really miss about my 04 is turning a key to start the car as I'm not a fan of push-button start; however, I realize that it's not going away, so I'm trying to erase 30 years of habit and adapt. I also loved that in 2004 I could order the Sport Package and not have to buy navigation and a sun-roof that I never use.
I've test drove a Q50 Sport, and it's an upgrade from the G37 as well (Interior is nicer, quieter inside, etc.), especially now that you will be able to order one without DAS. That feature definitely requires some time to get used to...
Nonetheless, if you are looking for an solid/fun/reliable used car, the early G35 sedans are an excellent value.

Ive owned my g37x for a couple of years now my brother drove it and loved it
he bought an 08x as well, i drove it around found it to be just as fast as my car
i like the transmission better as there seems to be less lag on the downshift
both excellent cars, if i gave him a choice a 10 or an 08 and he will most certainly say the 10, but the price for a used 08 is excellent and very good value.

............me too. Mine was all white. I'm not much for mods, but I got almost black tint all around, a set of those nifty tapered three-spoke rims that were big back in the nineties, chrome exhaust tips - small stuff like that, but the car looked really sharp.
And you're right: the first-gen 240 was waaaaay better looking than the second.

I wrote a letter to Infiniti 3 years ago suggesting that push button start can be dangerous to older people who may forget to push the button to turn off the engine when parking in their garage. In fact 2 people in my community died in just this fashion from carbon monoxide poisoning. Infiniti never answered my letter.

Yes, it did leak into their home as the garage was underneath the living area. It killed the husband and wife. My community then sent letters to all residents asking them to buy carbon monoxide detectors. There have been several such cases in Florida.

However, if I could retrofit a standard key back in place of the pushbutton, that would be Mod #1.
The speed sensor in the GPS would be the next to go.

I read a letter in Automobile magazine that said the G35 is a better car than the G37 and the Q50 is worse than both. I have a G37 so I don't know about the G35, never having driven one. If you have driven all three, is this true?
What makes the G35 better than the G37?
What makes the G35 better than the G37?
G35 is better than the G37 (Transmission wise), hands down. Mine you I owned Both.
