Hmmm, would it be cheezy to match the emblem with the rims....black w/ gunmetal, etc....
IMO it will look better than all black, the subtle contrast w/ the gunmetal on black would look nice IMO, but when painting the emblem you only want to keep the very outside of the emblem painted, and the rest black. The whole emblem in gunmetal won't look right from the sides.
Here's an example w/ my carbon wrap on the emblem to show what part I would paint just gunmetal (just the part that's gray)

Nice attention to detail.
I thought about redoing all the chrome in black chrome but I need to find the right color.
Lol, all kidding aside though, I think you should do a midnight type with the top and bottom being gunmetal as well as the emblem. ..to match the wheels
I am not sure if there are any readily available, most are custom made off the OEM grille. Any competent body shop should be able to fiberglass it like my body guy did (He actually did my G37 grille as well).

Those emblemless grills look awesome, maybe your guy could get us a group rate???
FWIW what did he charge you?
^ I have always done more than one thing at once, so prices were never really itemized. It's a small shop and the language barrier is hard at times. Usually the conversation is "This, this, and this, how much?"
