Last weekend I met up with mike_g37s, who's another local forum member. He drives a stock 2008 G37S Coupe 6MT... OEM shorties, cats, resonators and pipes. He paid a shop to delete the mufflers, and weld the OEM tips on to custom bent pipes.

Sounds great. I didn't expect it would, but it does. Sure, it's raw, and always in your face, but I actually think a muffler delete is a valid mod on this car.

Thanks again for all the work and videos on this. I'll hopefully have my "glasspack" muffler delete done in the next couple of weeks.

Thx for videos, if I ever modify the exhaust, the muffler delete will be the extent of it, not really interested in any effects other than a bit more sound.

You seem like a "unique" individual lol

thanks for the vids. really helps me hear how the g37 is supposed to sound. previously i had the g35 coupe and did flowmaster 80 series on it. was so nice sounding. i was suprised the g37 i so quiet from factory and was scared that i might never get that sound back.

i think i know my first performance mod now

No problem! Yeah, me either so it was perfect. Unique? Not sure what that's supposed to mean...

After watching how crisp your trans shifts in Manual mode, I now know that there's something very wrong with mine.

Clean your MAF's and TB's. Makes a world of difference, I promise. Just make sure you use the correct cleaners

That's been done thoroughly. I even found a new intake manifold off a totaled G37 with 600 miles. I put that on and that made a huge difference. It still comes down to the trans and shifting.
