Unreal. I get 26.5 interstate if I baby it. Still get low 20s mixed driving if I beat in it some

Best I got was around 26mpg, punched on the ramps, but a smooth sailing 75mph most of the way, think that's pretty good. Probably float around 17-21mpg now, but I rarely check (fill up a little less than once a month now ... 93 octane for $3.30!)
Not sure how you get poor mileage on the highway, do you guys randomly floor it or something?

While I agree, the G is much much much more capable from a speed perspective, I can't really use any of that around here, so I am finding it plus the 93 octane required painful...
I agree something is up. While no one expects this car to be a fuel miser, this could be a symptom of problems. You've either got an issue with resistance or engine performance.

If it were resistance, like a wheel bearing seizing, I think the failing component would have exploded by now. I don't see low tire pressure taking off 6+mpg. Even seized brake calipers probably wouldn't cause this large of a drop and you'd probably smell burning brakes if it were.

Check underneath the vehicle. I've watched significant mpg drops when the aero shields under the car were missing. Make sure nothing's wrapped around the driveshaft or any other components.

Dirty air filters would not cause this large of a drop. The computers in today's cars make concessions which minimizes any losses for mildly dirty filters.

I could see really bad gas doing this. Get Top Tier gas from a known good station - avoid supermarkets, discounters and Costco. Check your spark plugs and make sure they are in good condition and burning evenly. Check your thermostat - is the engine getting up to temp? Could be stuck open which leads to some loss in mpg, though I doubt as big as you're seeing.

That leaves a couple of questions: is your vehicle stock or do you have engine, wheel or other mods? Also, it is an auto are you leaving it in D or DS?

I don't mind 17mpg or lower when I "earn" it, but if I'm driving like a grandma my G37 can do 27 on the highway and even 31 with a stiff tailwind.

These 24/7 retailers pump a lot of gas at low prices with little markup and make their money on the overpriced food that they sell

I've always thought top tier gas was a marketing scam

Wawa is not listed on the top tier website. In addition, all of the Wawa gas stations I've been to only pump up to 91, if I recall correctly.

40/60 city-hwy and i average somewhere between 16-19 mpg but that's all due a heavy foot. I thrash my car a lot just to hear the intakes going on wot. I have awd so I lose some to that but I'm extremely impressed with my mpg considering my driving habits.
