Infiniti dealers and stillen

The other day I was reading on this forum that an infiniti dealer was selling a g37 with a stillen supercharger. Today, I called them up to see if they can install turbo, but they recommended that I install a stillen supercharger. Now from what I read so far most people are against stillen, even if I go for a supercharger most people seem to recommend a gtm supercharger. So does Stillen have any deals with infiniti that the dealerships recommend them? Or is it that stillen products work really well with our cars? This is not the only stillen product they have recommended as well. When I went to get a quote for air intakes they also pointed me towards the stillen intakes.

I just purchased the Stillen Supercharger and waiting to install. I have personally heard and read lots of great things about this kit which was why I went with it. Not only is it easy to install but Stillen offers a great warranty with their product. I recently had the opportunity to visit Stillen HQ in Costa Mesa, CA and met the entire team behind the company and had a great experience. They have a 50 state carb legal kit that dealers will install to keep the warranty, great deal IMHO.

From what I've read on here... GTM customer service sucks.... If I ever go forced induction, I'd go with stillen...

If you can, do let me know how much power you have gained and the reliability of the vehicle after the install. I was also leaning towards the stillen supercharger, but then I saw most ppl in here hated stillen's kit, but maybe they have improved it since then. So i thought since the gtm supercharger isn't carb legal might as well get turbo. If the stillen kit turns out to be good it should save me a lot of money.

Wow really, and I read just the opposite. Most ppl say Stillen customer service sucks and if they ever go F/I they'd go with GTM. This is the problem of getting my information from very old threads

This exact thought of gathering reviews and opinions from old threads drives me through the roof. When it comes to FI I always seem to only find two different ends of the spectrum on which is better etc.

To my knowledge and also from a tuning shop I know it doesn't matter which FI you go with as our stock components hold anything under 500hp without fail. This is after he's blown a few motors himself haha.

I know a few people with the kit that have had zero issues and push well over 440 WHP which to me will be plenty for a daily driver. I feel confident running this kit knowing I have the customer service and a great team behind it.

I will be posting detailed pics of my install with before and after dyno runs. I will then travel to Fontana, NC to Zdayz May 15-18th which will be a 1800+ Miles round trip on the Stillen SC so I will be sure to give my feedback on everything.

I love turbo, but I would go with stillen on this one.

Sheesh. That thread was depressing to read. Some of the members went out of their mind for that kit.

Was going to write "need more convincing" to nab a stillen but looks like that thread did it for me. Eek.

I want to the Stillen supercharger, however I was needing atleast a valvebody upgrade and transmission cooler just to handle the extra power. I hope another company comes out with a valvebody upgrade soon.

stillen is considered a factory performance part for infiniti... i have the supercharger... the system is fantastic i make around 450-460 on pump 93 and on e85 with the smaller pulley im in the 520 range... but i also did a complete fuel system upgrade with 1000cc injectors... on just the kit alone with whats in the box 440-450 range all day long just dont use the stillen box tune it runs the car fat and youll only make around 375-380 to the tire

I haven't seen any horror stories about the GTM SC kits themselves while I have heard negative stories about tuning the Stillen. I also like the OEM look from GTM. Pay with CC and chargeback if the item isn't timely or as expected.

I've heard nothing but good things from other G brethren that live in Socal and have used their services out of Coasta Mesa. I've also talked to them on the phone several times and the service was good.

You will not need a VB upgrade just trans cooler and the line pressure updated with UPREV,

OP do not expect any type of warranty from the dealer , So I would use a KNOWN shop for the install, If you have hours read my depressing story about the dealer that basically screwed me out of 10k,

I bought my car from the dealer with the Stillen kit installed. They didn't back up anything when the SES light turned on a day later, so be careful with dealer promises and get it in writing haha. Luckily everything is good now. IDK what everyone else is getting, but my tuner only got 422whp from my car. Hoping to hit 450 this summer though and fix a couple fueling issues.

Back on topic, I believe the GTM kit has potential to make more power out the box but I personally feel the Stillen kit is better engineered and potentially much more reliable. Either way, you won't be disappointed.
