SOO Coupe Catback to Sedan

Has anyone, Other than me tried or going to try this? I still have my exotcispeed catback and FI RHFC's from my coupe and I will be adding these to my sedan in April. If I remember correctly the issue is the spare tire well? An since the Q sedan uses the same exhaust as the coupe I cant look under the wife's car for any help.

Sub'd, because I've always thought I'd like a BORLA exhaust, and they don't make one for the Sedan. Is the tire well the only issue? Not that the tire well isn't a pretty big issue... but isn't the Coupe a few inches shorter than the Sedan?

You are looking to add to your X sedan? The Y-pipe may be an issue due to the center dif unless it is an elongated piece no?

I don't think you would have enough clearance underneath for the muffler(single unit, dual tip) right?

Thanx for the pics !!! I wonder about whats behind that skid plate too. I was thinking if there was a way to remove or push in, LOL part of that well, I really don't care about the spare tire compartment.. LOL I already know the HFC's will work, heck there on 100 miles old.. An the catback I have is was on my X coupe. That whole thing about the Tcase being in the way is EH at best. I have zero clearance issue.

But either wau I'm going to get this to worl ,I LOVE The way the exhaust sounds. Nothing I would rather have on my car. Probably the most underrated system on the forums

YEA didn't fit ,So I used the Exotic Speed mid section which is true dual 2.25 with a X pipe, and kept the stock mufflers everything is almost done and they are sending me a vid of how it sounds soon. I wonder what the heck this is going to sound like LOL

Yea you where right so we'll see how this sounds ? An Y pipe was NO issue wasn't on my coupe X either. That issue is no issue IMO. Most RWD's systems will fix X cars. at least my RWD cat back did.

Sounds nice. Did you cut the pipes on the factory mufflers and have a flange welded on to mate up to the mid-pipe?

No we could leave those, Just made bends from the mid section to the mufflers, The stock piping is about 2 and the mid sections is about 2.25 so just he just slipped them over and welded them.

Thanx does sound good I'll get more tonight and post them up.

I guessing this can be another option for the "US" sedan guys, Just get a mid section and mate it to the stock mufflers. Most the aftermarket mid pipes will fit the sedans and coupes X's or not, My mid section is for a RWD and came off my X coupe. Just shows they are interchangeable.

G35 Sedan RWD Only 2007-2008 Cat-Back Exhaust part # 140270

Borla makes one for the 07-08 G35 - I doubt this is any real difference between that setup and an 09+ G37.
