Maybe if the badge read, ...and only 3.7 NA

Wordy, I know. But it does put it into proper context.

Rice much? Seriously, rebadging is 18 year old rice. Never done it. Never will. It is not what you have, so don't pretend it is.

If you want to debadge, have at it but please don't embarrass the rest of us with rebadging.

Adding a badge to the car isn't going to embarrass us and even the person who wanted the badging won't be embarrassed either since they wanted it to begin with.

IDK, would we all look differently if these were dipped black or color of choice?? ...reminds me of my old 5.0 days...personally I feel debaging is the trend nowadays so why differ....on the fence here

we all (or at least most) do things to our cars to make them different or "our own" (no matter how drastic), to me this is no different. It seems some get bent out of shape over the whole badge thing, but really, it's no biggie, esp to 99% of people out there

might throw a GTR badge on mine
(in all honesty, I do like how the "skyline" looks on the back of the v36, but prob would not actually do it)

I'm on the fence on this one. I like the 3.7 badge as it is designed on the Q50. I don't mind finder badges I guess if they came like that from the factory. I don't mind seeing G's with Skyline badging or 370GT either. This is definitely one of those subjective areas though and it's ultimately up to you.

For me, adding them after the fact on a model that didn't come with them smacks a little bit of the honda civic types that would add vtec stickers.

Adding the 3.7 badges doesn't quite reach that level of douchiness though.

FWIW, here is my take on things to do to your car that rank very high on the douchy scale:

-Gloming stick on LED strips of any kind because the higher end cars have them. The stick ons just show that the person is a poseur cheap ace. (I think they're ok if they're tastefully done ala 180 Customs.)

-VTEC stickers.

-Fake-ID headlight bulbs in cars that came with standard halogens. (If you're going to do it, spend the money and spring for a proper HID conversion kit.)

We could probably start a whole thread on this type of thing but I think it's your call OP.

connoisseurr has the Japanese 370GT emblems on his trunk, mismatched to the Infiniti Fuji, instead of the Nissan burger. Honestly, it looks fine to me. The emblem is tight, and small.

Do it, don't do it. Doesn't matter, because your car. I wouldn't do it, though. I prefer to take emblems off, not put them on.

No wait, when I was a kid I put the "5.0 Liter H.O." decal on my TransAm, even though it wasn't officially the H.O. engine. My rationale was that it was modified, and it looked cool (to me).

OMG, these threads! LOL

I think it would be almost impossible to get them installed symmetrically on both sides, which would drive me crazy.

How would it be almost impossible the car is symmetrical so all you would need is a ruler

Measuring to the exact same spot on both sides using the exact same reference point with slight variances to tire pressure, ride height, how level the ground is, etc. would seem easier said than done

Alright I'll give you a small allowance but I think it would be within millimeters. Besides, you don't measure from the ground or anywhere that could have a variance, but from the dimensions of the fender.

I just think it is silly and smacks of poser rice boy. Seems many here are fine with it and of course the op can do as he wishes.

Maybe add a big wing in a mismatched color at the same time? Maybe a couple of big eibach stickers in anticipation of upgrades?

Reminds me of the guy at Sears when I got my tires recently. 2.5 liter Subaru with all sorts of racing stickers. Started up a convo with him about mods. He had none of the mods for which he had stickers lmao.

That's all imo of course. But for as many who think it looks cool, they're will be a group who think it looks stupid.
