An I thought I heard the Q40 was going to be a turbo 2.0, They are talking about sharing the motor out of the new Benz. (CLA)

That is only if you have the DAST....

That would be modern Infiniti design language...

I need to jump this ship asap. IMO the only Infiniti currently worth buying is the QX56/QX80. It is the only class competitive vehicle anyways.

The QX56/80 is a great truck that one could easily argue is best in class with excellent value (doesn't that sound like the Infiniti G??), but the exterior looks

We've loved our QX but I'm already looking to jump ship to the new Escalade or even the Denali b/c those both look like trucks and have presence. And not cartoonish presence like the QX56/80.

Everytime I see a current QX56, it reminds me of the bulldog from WB Looneytunes.

Not sure where you're going with this. If it's that our version of the QX56 is not overly attractive, I'm there with you. Yet at least it looks like a brawny truck. The new QX56/80 is goofy looking, all the way down to the fake fender vents.

I'll do my best.

Sometimes a look is so goofy, strange, off-balance, or unique, it creates its own gravitational pull. Think some 60's Chryslers, Ellen Barkin, or the 1st gen IS300. The current big Q is such a design.

Contrast the above w/ an arguably tacky, overly cladded, Family Truckster (National Lampoon Vacation) often associated w/ gang bangers and such (yes the Escalade). And I am aware of the "new" design.

It is not so clear to me why the later is obviously superior, that's all. No offense intended.

No offense taken and this explanation is a helluva lot better than your first attempt.

Some of us actually need these large SUVs. 3 kids, large dog, etc. We tow and take the truck on the beach at the beach house. Sorry, but an AWD Sienna ain't gonna cut it for us. If I'm gonna spend 60K on a loaded Tahoe, I'm gonna go another 20K for a better truck. Much like we're not all driving 4 banger Accords/Camrys! Or why I don't worry about the G being associated with ricers or ________. I get the vehicle that fits our needs.

Have you seen the new '15 Escalade and Denali? Cleaner design and less bling. The Escalade especially takes the Cadillac Art and Science design to a new level. The only thing that I'm not keen on are the Volvo like rear brake lights.

Sorry, but a lot of families get by just fine w/ a minivan. I said I was aware of the new design. I still stand by pot/kettle/black. Enjoy.

Thankfully we're not "a lot of families" or trying to "get by".
