extended warranty
Hello,
I understand that I can purchase a factory extended warranty from any dealer across the U.S. sometimes much cheaper than say, where I live in So. Cal......can anybody recommend a good dealer out there?
Thank you!

You car has to be inspected and meet certain requirements from Infiniti in order to qualify for the extended warranty and it doesnt matter where you bought your Infiniti from.
I would suggest contacting Infiniti to see if your G qualifies.

Hey, Jeremy.
I did not have to take my car in for an inspection.
May be due to the fact that I was still under factory warranty...maybe someone else can chime in.

Is the extended warranty worth it? I'm thinking about getting. I just purchased a new G July of this year. I wasn't planning on getting it, but now my sister tells me that the battery in the car died. It's been sitting in the garage for the last month. She said she starts it for me and let it run for 10 minutes at a time and the battery still died. I know there is an issue with the battery, but I figured by 2013 they would have that issue fixed. I guess not.

I think it is always a gamble. Will you really spend more on repairs or on the warranty? If you have a 7AT, either AWD or RWD, I think they are pretty reliable. 6MT's are prone to clutch and synchro problems. All G's (both standard and Akebono's) are prone to rotor warping ... not sure if that is even covered. The decision also depends on how much work you do yourself. I like working on cars and am willing to do some repairs myself - which can save a lot.
So for me, even with the 6MT, it would probably not pay out for me. Mine is a Infiniti Certified used car, so it has 2 year extended warranty anyway. That's not why I bought a Certified car, though. I did it because they seem to certify the best ones they get in, and also because 6MT's can be really hard to find - so you kind of take what you can get.
