From '11 Maxima to '13 G37
Well... We loved our Maxima, but wife was driving way to much between work and home while we owned our Maxima. We put 71K miles on it in just 3 years!!!
We decided we wanted to get something else that was newer in years, less miles and less cost so our monthly payments were lower. We looked at other maximas (that's how much we loved the maxima) but then I ran into couple G37s. Test drove a G25x and couldn't seal the deal... everything happens for a reason right? (wife didn't care G25 had less power, but I did!!! lol)
Then we went looking at the Q50 with the nav package. Couldn't seal the deal on that either, so we went next door looking at used G37s. Almost got a gunmetal grey colored Infiniti, but we ended up sealing the deal on a '13 G37 with 25K miles.
Gotta say we're pretty happy! Considering both the maxima and G37 have the almost exact engine, this thing roars compared to the maxima. (you can def tell the extra power and the better 7 spd auto) We feel it also hugs the corners better, and is RWD, so I feel much more at home with it (other car is a Z06, but getting traded in for a ZL1)
It's slightly smaller (5 series vs 3 series on BMWs I'd say) but it's not a huge difference. we did prefer the larger maxima though.
I actually tried to get her to buy a '12 BMW 328, but she wouldn't go for it. she said he likes the G37 more (especially the interior, which is nearly identical to the maxima)
At the end we're very happy we got a more premium cars that's 2 years newer, 50K less miles and more powerful. we did lose few things like dual moonroof, cooling seats and the automatic rear shader though... oh well!
Some crappy at the dealer pics. I'll put some nice ones up when I get some time
PS - I want to change the wheels to the more premium one (not the sport one) and tint. might put on the front lip on as well.
Anyways, just wanted to say hello and introduce myself! I'm sure I'll be here reading the forums and asking some questions

Be careful parking the G as it has a long nose that is hard to judge, and if you encounter a curb of above average height, you will tear off the little rubber piece on the bottom of the nose and potentially scratch it as well.
I'm pointing this out because I noticed you are parked well over the curb in the pics.
I have since taught myself how to judge when I am within a few inches, or, I just avoid those types of spots.
Just some friendly advice. Welcome to the forum.

That 7th Gen Maxima is a fine car, FWD and CVT notwithstanding. You might be missing its comfort, although the G's power will make up for it and then some.
Bet you had a heated steering wheel in that Max. Not so on the INFINITI, dammit.

Like Socket said you must be careful when parking. My G sedan which has the chin spoiler and a Swift drop, has gone through one chin spoiler already and now I'm trying to get a feel for how close is close enough. I err on the side of safety now and stay quite a bit back. Just have to hope no one clips the back of my car sticking out rather far, oh well.

Another thing that scares me are those dips in the pavement where a parking lot on the edge of a hill meets the street (pretty common in CA). Even at the stock height, you need to hit those at an angle or ssscccrrraaaapppeee.

I can't imagine a chin spoiler and a drop. With that setup, the same parking job in the picture would have caused over 1k in damage.
