Anyone else here with a 6MT that derives pleasure from browsing through used vehicle websites and not finding hardly find a single 6MT? Especially one in good condition / lower mileage? 😁

The question is, will these maintain a decent value going forward as these become harder to find and sporty manual sedans in general as well? Possibly even appreciate in value years from now, kinda like some of the 90's legends like Integras, etc?

I tend to think that the G, and even 370Z platform as a whole will be collectible: RWD, JDM Roots, Reliable NA VQ37VHR platform, LSD, OEM BBK, balanced performance (handling, braking, acceleration), comfortable, decent aftermarket and easy to wrench, etc.

In addition, there are so many "another G down" threads that its hard to keep track of the body count, so they are quickly dissapearing.

I also watch the discussions on Reddit where so many shy away from German makes and even the Q because of reiliability issues; there's also the IS that falls in this camp, but it doesn't have the allure across generations of the G...

In a world that is quickly turning to iPads with wheels, the G is somewhat rare.

Recently someone on Reddit paid 4K over the fair market value for a 6MT Sedan, so those will continue to fetch a premium. G coupes have always commanded a premium whether 7AT or 6MT, and the 370Z 6MTs are becoming harder to find as well.

I thought about it, but I already check my tire pressure pretty frequently since it's pretty easy to do.

I am waiting for a guage cluster of some sort that gives me coolant, transmission and oil temperature/pressure.

So apparently my or my wife's keys got squished in just the right way to put all 4 windows down for a few lovely hours of rain.

Seats seem OK after being dried off, my spider mats caught most of the rain and the carpet was dry. I'm going to put the crystal kitty litter in a lingerie bag back in the car to get rid of residual dampness, and when I had the hurricane flood the interior I painted the floor pan with bedliner before reinstalling carpet and interior so I shouldn't get rust or anything like that.

Question is: is the auto-window-down by fob button something that can be disabled?

Need some help with break pad selection. Planned to spend $45 on the front set only to find out there are a lot of options for that price.
What I'm looking for is a ceramic or ceramic blend for a daily driver automatic, heavy traffic. I'll be doing wheel bearings, resurfaced rotors, new lug nuts and lastly pads.
My 2nd set was Centric that lasted 1 year, 3rd set was another Centric that lasted 1 week before brake shake. I believe my wheel bearings are done due to spacers. So there is the worry that the new brakes will take a crap like this past set which is why Im doing bearing assembly.
I'm turning more and more into a believer that spacers will ruin the car over time. I wonder if it's just the spacer itself or anything wider than oem will inevitability do this.

Powerstop Z26. They are the best I've tried so far. Very, very, low dusting, no noise, and have very good initial bite and a strong bite when braking at high speed. Amazon sells them too. Their rotors are garbage though.

The Akebono's have been great in my opinion. A couple of dollars more than $45.00 but they are all around good pads.

The more I watch Frank's video, the more likely I am to just do this regardless of how many other guinea pigs jump in ahead of me. I've got a Windows 11 laptop, a recognized thumb drive, and a male-2-male USB cable, so the only thing keeping me from diving in are feet of clay.

I've been wanting to see real-time TPMS values ever since I bought the car. I'm genuinely excited about this... which tells you how actually boring my life is, LOL.

Same. I've got the Akebono Sport ASP1346 and ASP1347 on my car, with the Z1 two-piece rotors, OEM Sport calipers and OEM brake lines. The car's brakes are positively heroic... which is hyperbole for me saying I like them.

Negatives? They squeal like a frightened pig first thing out of the garage and down the driveway. Soon as I use them once or twice, they go silent. But on a really quiet morning, it's pretty darn embarrassing.

I've always been a Hawk fan, and HPS or HP+ are my go tos, squealing be damned. I've got HP 5.0s on now and imho they aren't as solid performers as the basic HPS.

For EBC I've put their Green Stuff pads on both a Mazda CX5 and a Mini Cooper that were daily driven and have no complaints about performance or dusting.
